Mac pushed back into Barrons head.

I still feel the searing heat of the desert and my skin seems gritty with sand. He stares down at me, his face white with fury. And more. The beast that does not rattle is rattled.
"Who is she? I ask. I am no longer inside his head. It was hard to stay there. He didn't want me there. He is very strong and cast me out. "I don't know how you did that, but you will never do it again," he snarls and shakes me again. "Do you understand? He bares his teeth. It excites me.
"You preferred her to all others. Why? Did she mate better?"...

KMM doe HEA. That is her style even though the Fever series seems different. All that Mac went through was worth it because she would get a somewhat HEA. Does she find out what Barrons is? No. And she learns she can live with that and not having all of the answers to her questions. It is romantic in a gritty way. The tension and chemistry were there from book one. I love that tension. The romance isn't the focal point and I like that too, but it still is there.

Hmm...that sounds like it might actually be in regards to Barrons' love and mother of his child. I can't remember how his son became a beast like him.

It didnt say how he became a beast, just that he died in Barrons arms. It didnt even occur to Barrons that his son was one until years later when he was sent to kill some insane monster out in the desert.

It sounds like they were mercenaries for the women and then they all were transformed into immortal beasts on latest adventure. Maybe they were supposed to be protecting her and they were changed while she was killed. She is never mentioned again. I think his son was with them when they were turned, but none of them realized what had happened to them and they buried his son and left him.

Yeah that makes sense. I figured he had to be near by. Maybe he couldn't handle the transformation.

No, remember they thought he was really dead. But he rose again the next morning and Barrons enemies found him and tortured him and killed him. They realized he came back to life everyday and they kept killing him over and over until one time he turned into the beast and got away. Barrons was hired to kill his own son about a year later. When he realized what had happened he hunted his enemies down and killed them. Even the wife and children. That is what Mac saw one time. She didn't know why he had done it she thought he liked to kill.

Thats what I'm saying. How he ended up dying the first time. None of them knew they couldn't die for years to come....never mind just read his son died two days after they all died together and woke up from mission gone bad. His body disapppeard before they could bury him

I see what your saying... But i thought they buried him and left. I will have to look it up. Yes, they didn't realize until one of them died much later. And when they were hired to kill the creature Barrons had a feeling it was his son.

Holy Crap! I think Dani needs to find a journal or something of her mothers and fast! Considering her mother was "popular" with the men. He could have been like Barrons or even fae.

Ok D,

1. JO was sent by Cruse to Chester. She's still a sheep
2. Dani will go into the Slivers to find and save Christian. She'll lose track of time because she doesn't know her way around and will come out 17 in the next book going on 18. She will still be 16 in her mind but something so bad will happen that she'll grow up very fast. ( mind catches up with her body)
3. Dancers is not human. But I still hope he is.
4. Dani will have to makes a hard decision that I think will end with someone's life.
5. Dani is more then what I can image

Jo is a sheep for sure! A sneaky sheep. I don't know her deal yet but she didn't arrive to Chester out of the kindness of her heart.

I agree. Dani got to save Christian.

Number four....I love it. I think something will happen to push her over the edge. Make her mentally grow up.

Well I'm not a Jo lover but I'm curious to know how will they move her out of the way when it comes time for Ryodan and Dani link up...making the assumption they do link it.

I don't think that is going to be very hard for Ryo. Did you see how many girls he was already going through? Dani also seems kinda jealous of Jo, so it might not be hard for her too.

Ryo will be good. That's for sure. I agree that Dani is kind of jealous. She doesn't even realizes it. I just wonder how they KMM will push Jo out of the picture.

Well I think Jo is under Cruce command, so I think Jo is gonna make a mistake and Ryo or Dani is going to going to take her out. I would hope that Ryo will do it being that Dani is emotional attached to Jo.

I think Jo's coming to Chester, Ryo would know what she's all about. I think he keeps Jo close. (Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer) but Jo is all google eye and forgot what she was suppose to be doing.

Doesn't Jo have a talent for transcription? Maybe the reason she's at Chesters is to find a special book or scroll that she'll need to free Cruce.

Kat has mentioned that Jo at this time hasn't brought no information back to the Abby. Even Kat has questioned why Jo is still at Chester's. I think Jo is caught up.

I agree. She's caught up. She's gonna get hurt. I question why Dani is emotionally attached to Jo at this point. Jo and the other sheep haven't been so kind to her in the past. But then again, Dani does believe everyone is worth saving.

I have a quick question...I've been racking my brain about what you gals said about Dancer not being human...I can totally see that being possible, but is it a guess or did you guys read a hint somewhere? Did I miss something?

Danielle, I'm just guessing. There has been subtle things about him that makes me pause. LOL. He seems to go MIA at the most random times. I know he is not conscious of time and stuff but where does he go. Who the hell knows. Then at one point while I went back and listen to the audio version she talks about him watching her eat but he doesn't. I remember reading a paranormal book a few years back and the dude didn't eat because his butt wasn't human. He needed other substance. that always made me focus on on small details like that. I think there are other things about him that gave me reason to pause.

Those are definitely good points. Plus, he's kinda ballsy for a human. Especially standing up to Ryodan & Christian without hesitating, lol.

Just finished this a few weeks ago. Still so sad for the wait of Burned, and reading all of these theories is not helping with my waiting anxiety LOL.

I am very intrigued about Dancer's character to see what he ends up being in the story.

Raquel, I feel the same way. I became a fan of the Fever series just as the release date for Shadowfever was approaching. So I didn't feel the anxiety that some people were talking about. Now I know!!!! I want Burned to be here now! LOL.

I know Raquel! I see a re-read in my future for sure. 1) I'm curious all the little tip offs I might've missed. 2) I do not want to forget a single detail when Burned comes out.
Was thinking about scoping out the Highlander series too- just to see if there's any hidden treasures of info in their stories, lol.

Hey yes you must read the Highlander series but the last four books make some connections to the Fever Series and iced. Like...

Christian's uncle played in dark magic and was turning. I think of Christian and his fight with the balance like is uncle. Is uncle had female that kept him in check that can be the same as how Christian feels about Dani? I do think that Dani holds his real self in place and not full turning as fast as he could be.

I think about how Christain's family are those who where the keepers of keeping the wall up between the fae world and human world and we all know how that didn't happen in the Shadow fever. Plus in the highland series one of the brothers wife was like the sheep in the Abby. I wonder why those characters haven't come back?

Samantha I through about what you said and I can see that. My hold thing is what the hell is he? I mean there's a new sheelee king, but he didn't come off as a king to me . If Dancer is going into the Fae world could he be she sheelee or unsheelee?

See that would be the fun part...learning what he is. I don't know if he is a king or not. Hmmm...He could be going back and forth into the Fae world. Maybe that's why he doesn't like to deal with Time.

You probably should read the Highlander series because the guys in the highlander series make an appearance in the fever books. They visit (I can't remember which ones) Chesters for some reason.

Yes I remember that. I think it was Shadow fever. I think I'm more inclined to read these because of Christian :)

I just wanted to say I like Jo. Sorry, I see a lot here don't, but what I like about her is she knew what she wanted and went for it. She does seem to have some influence with Ryo even though he keeps saying no one does, and I see in her some interesting reality.

I could see that in the beginning because she mentioned that he wasn't that kind of guy. Then she seem to get soft and caught up as the book progressed. I'm not sure about influence over him because I think Ryo is all about the mind fuckery.

I agree w/ Samantha...Ryo is definitely about the mind fuckery. It's not that I don't personally like Jo- I just think there is good reason to think she might not be so innocent...

Oh yeah...I don't trust her motives for "rescuing Dani". I'm sure if it is not innocent, we will learn about it soon enough.

I like Jo but as a villain! Lol I feel she's keeping a secret. I think the closest influence over Ryo is Dani making him crazy! Lol

Haha. Do you see Jo as a villain? I don't know what I'm suppose to feel for her but I do know that I want her out of the picture. How that happens, I don't know but when she leaves, she can't stick around.

Jumping in here without having read from the beginning, but I like Jo too. I don't think there is anything nefarious in her. I think at first she was disgusted by Ryo's world and now that she has had a taste of it has no desire to leave it, or him. Can't say that I blame her ;)

As for why Ryo keeps her close, maybe he wants a taste of what his BFF Barrons has...and Jo does have a keen intellect, something Ryo would value. And at least according to Dani, she looks hot in the outfit...

I don't get how sleeping with Jo gives Ryo a taste of what Barrons has.

Hi I am new to your group!!! Just want to say I am team Ryodan all the way!! And he will eclipse Barron's by a few galaxy's !!! Yes he will!! KMM posted on her Facebook that there r 2 books after burned! Feverborne and Feversong !! Dani is my girl I love her. I just hope that she will learn to love and play!! I want her to be happy!! I want her to have her snowball fight and all the nice stuff in between!
