*It will work off a point system.
*If your book fits a category you will get one point for every category it fits. Therefore if you read one book and it fits for 4 out of the 6 categories you will receive 4 points.
*You can complete more than one book per challenge.
*The book must be over 100 pages.
The reason that this is a two month challenge is that there will be an incentive...The person with the most amount of points will get receive a $10 e-gift card from either Barnes & Noble or Amazon. If you are participating for this prize, you will be required to follow certain guidelines:
1. Each book must appear on your 'read' shelf with the date that you have completed the book.
2. Each book must have a short review stating a little more than that you liked or disliked the book. (Need to make sure the book was actually read). This review may be within your read shelf or when you post the book on this thread.
3. I must be able to see your shelves. If your profile is set to private, please send me a friend request.
If you do not wish to participate for the $10 gift card prize but still want to read books for the challenge, then please state as much in your first post.
If you have any questions on whether a book fits a task please ask. I will have some lists below for help/approved books.
Challenge 1:
Read a book from one of the following shelves: Family, Food, Holiday, or Wishlist
Challenge 2:
Read a book that is set in your home town, home state or home country.
Challenge 3:
Read a book with a predominantly white cover.
Challenge 4:
Read a book where the authors initials can be found in THANKSGIVING/CHRISTMAS. They do not have to be consecutive.
Challenge 5:
Read a book to finish a challenge that you participate on Goodreads. State the challenge name and the group it is in. It may only count for one challenge and it cannot be # of books read in the year or for # of pages for our wonderful group. (After all this is supposed to be a challenge.)
Challenge 6:
Read a chunkster (500+ pages). This will go off the most popular edition on Goodreads.
