When should I stop in Asimov's Foundation Series?

I see a lot of you have read and liked Asimov's Foundation. I liked it enough to read the original trilogy, but now I'm nearing the end of that.

They're really weird novels, more like plays than anything else - all story development and very little characterisation - but I've grown to really like them!

Still, part of the appeal is reading the fundaments of SciFi, and the rest of the books won't have that "I'm reading history" feeling.

Have people read the second trilogy and the prequels... and do you recommend doing so?

Kris | 2 comments Really don't do it.

I kind of liked the first prequel (or at least, the only prequel I read). But it fits in with the second trilogy, and I don't recommend that one.

They're just ... different. Not at all like the original series.
