Stephanie (zeldazonk) I saw this on tv, somewhere... I can not recall, I'll do a random google search in a sec, but had it on my mind, you paid so much a month and they send you books to read and you send them back, just like for the movies, anyone see it or know of it's name?
if was posted already, I apologize, I can't recall the name :)

Maria | 92 comments Wow - this is such a great idea!
I wonder how long it takes to receive the books and if there is a long wait (like public libraries) for popular books.
Must be great for voracious readers!!
I think I'm going to try it out. Would love to hear from anyone using it
Thanks so much for posting about this!

Stephanie (zeldazonk) your welcome
I thought it was pretty cool too.

I'm thinkin of getting it in a few months, going to the library with a toddler and baby sometimes isnt so great for everyone else there ;)
and this would be huge convenience for me

Maria | 92 comments oh shoot its more expensive than I thought....$9.95 is just the intro price for 1 month. $20 per month after that for 3 out at a time. I don't know if I spend over $20 a month on books (i'm a pretty cheap clearance half/price book shopper)
I don't know though - it'd be nice to read current year books for a change - which I usually never buy because of price.

message 6: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (zeldazonk) the other one is 9/10 dollars a month, but for 2 books at a time

message 7: by Maria (new)

Maria | 92 comments oh great! - I see now the $10 rate on BooksFree....and 2 books out at a time is just about right!
Now just need to find out about waits for popular books to see how well it works

Holli There was another thread started about Bookswim awhile back and I thought it would be interesting to look into it. I haven't signed up but its in the back of my mind to try it out and see what I think. Good idea for people who spend alot on books anyways or don't have the time to get to the library.

Lynlee4 | 99 comments Looks like BooksFree is only new release paperbacks so you're still waiting to read 'best-sellers'.

I love bomc2.com ~ a bookclub for $10.00 a month and free shipping. They have most hardback bestsellers/new releases and you own the book.

Holli I like that one too Lynlee...I belong to it but right now I'm using it to send my 90 year Grandma large print books once a month so she has something to do. She loves it!

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) | 390 comments This seems great... I have netflix... so I can only imagine what I could do with this!

Sheryl (allreadybooked) Hi All,

This is my second year with BooksFree and I love it. My only complaint is that it takes a while to get your books sent out. It has a huge selection of Trade Paperbacks, plus they have books that you can reserve that have not been released yet. I like it.

Sheryl
