tbh i dont really like Jace in the movie...Jamie Campbell Bower JUST ISNT ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH!!
plus he's British and Jace is NOT British!! and he doesnt even cover up his accent in the movie!!!

You're right, Daria. Jamie Campbell Bower is like GROSS. Not Attractive at all.

ikr?!?!? i only KINDA liked him cuz he was dating Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) but they broke up so...ya...i dont really like him. HES NOT BUFF ENOUGH. LIKE, DUDE, YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE FRIGGIN MONSTER. like on the cover of the book!! but NOOOOO they would allow it. :(
i also dont like Lily Collins, shes not even ginger and the way her hair looks like in the movie doesnt even look natural (like its supposed to) and she has funny eyebrows...

If Cassandra Clare says Jamie makes a good Jace then I'm happy, and I kinda like the fact that he dosen't look like a standard hollywood hunk.

I agree with you Fari about Lily, she seems a bit too pretty to play Clary. I never imagined Clary as ugly, but I do imagine her being more petite, skinny and with very firey/wavy/wispy hair.

Lily's beautiful, but yeah, I never really imagined Clary as being drop-dead gorgeous, just kind of average. I think Lily could be good, though...

Jamie is going to be a good Jace. Watch the trailer when they are in The Hotel Dumort he says "Have a little faith" that is what completely. Convinced me. : )

on the premiere or opening night or whatever for the movie me and my friends are gonna wear all leather to be dressed like Shadowhunters and im really excited about it!!
AND the movie comes out of August 23 which is just a few days before my birthday so im gonna go with my friends and its gonna my a party :D

dont get me wrong, Alex Pettyfer is hot, but he just doesnt seem like Jace to me!!! So i disagree with you that he should be Jace...i just really dont like Alex. I watched him in I Am Number Four, and i was really excited for that movie, cuz i love the book, but i was disappointed with him in I Am Number Four.
you may disagree with me, but i think Jamie Campbell Bower will be a better Jace. He's not buff, but his hair etc. just seems more like Jace than Alex!!!

I also don't think Alex Pettyfer would make a great Jace. He seems to be everyone's pick for guys who are hot and blond. Like people wanted him for Peeta, and when they saw he didn't get Peeta, they wanted him for Cato, and then that didn't happen, now they want him for Jace.

I want Alex for Jace because he seems like he is the type. He has the hair/body/facial expressions. Plus, Jace is supposed to be beautiful. Jamie isn't but Alex is.

At the moment, the only thing that makes Jamie Jace is his hair, cuz its PERFECT!!!

I did want Alex to be Jace but I think Jamie might do it better because I think Alex is a little too mainstream, Jaimie is a bit more quirky.

And when i realized he'd be potraying Jace-i threw up. Totally. I had high expectations for a HOT Jace Wayland and Jamie actually didn't fit the picture.
But when i saw the trailer...he was Good. Yep, and his accent's knocking too.

At first i was totally against Jamie as Jace because I was so sure of Alex as him. but now i KNOW he is Perfect Alex is now to old anyways. Seeing him flip onto that table in the trailer was so KOOL <3 I know he won't disappoint

Right!! If SHE, the author, casted them, that must mean they're perfect for the roles, if we agree with her at the moment or not.

I really don't think anyone can accurately portray the Jace, Clary, and the TMI characters I have pictured in my head.

I think Jamie could potray Jace perfectly!! To be honest, I couldn't find anyone better!! Not only he is a great actor, but he is almost exactly like Jace. I'm not going to debate if he is handsome enough to potray Jace or not, but Jamie has some features that Jace has. Like his slim and tall body, curly blonde hair, and his angular cheek. And if you look closely, you will notice that he has a gap between his teeth like how Jace is described

I had my doubts about him playing him, but then when I saw him in the trailer, my first thought was This is Jace. I think that he will do a wonderful job as Jace, because in th trailer, I found some of the snark that Jace has.
