i absolutly love the VA series. when it was over i wanted to cry, there were so many questions left unaswered but i was really hapy when i heard there was a spinoff series.bloodline was ok but i thought this book would be better i can't belive i waited A YEAR FOR THIS. but i still believe in richelle mead and i really hope the 3rd book is interesting

Same here, this book disappointed me a little. Some parts dragged on a lot, it's like Richelle didn't really put her heart in it.
I also didn't like all the witch and magic stuff. Annoying as hell. Sidney really doesn't need magic to be badass, she already is in her own way.

But all is forgiven in the name of Adrian Ivashkov :D
And yes lots of expectations from the Indigo Spell!
Hoping we will have appearances from Rose and Lissa and Christian and many others!

I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but I've felt like there's something very lacking in the Bloodlines series. As much as I love Sydney as the new heroine, Rose was all around a more interesting lead character even though I didn't always agree with some of her decisions. I still very much enjoy the spin-off series, but it's not as good as VA or the Georgina Kincaid series.

I was a little disappointed with The Dark Knight Rises. I was a little disappointed with Skyfall.

That doesn't mean they weren't awesome.

As fans, our expectations will always be higher and that makes it next to impossible for the writer to deliver.

We just need to be flexible.

nope.

A little, yes. I don't think it's up to RMs standards. I was also a tad bored with certain parts. Something I never thought would happen when going in to reading this book, especially with how much I loved VA.

I loved it. Adrian is one of my top three favorite guy characters and I think the relationship between Adrian and Sydney is developing perfectly. Just the right amount of snark and cutsey romance parts to hold me over to the next book. I can't wait to see what happens!

a little yes, it is starting out just like VA....book one gets you started, book 2 gets ya a kiss, book 3 gets ya love and loss, book 4 gets you the struggle, book 5 gets you war, book 6 give you your happy ending....I really hope I'm wrong. I like the characters Sydney and Adrian. It just seems too predictable.

Until now where I´m Reading it´s kinda boring, it´s just dating nonsense and Sydney doing errands (not even her own for that matter)Like even the one thing that could be intresting the magic is learned in the most dull way posible.
Hoping it gets more exciting, fingers crossed.

I really liked the romance between Sydney and Adrian. While I loved VA, I always thought the romance moved too fast and sometimes I wanted to strangle Rose or Dimitri on the way they handled things. But the romance between Sydney and Adrian is a wonderfully slow but burning build up and it makes the romance feel all the the more genuine. I am probably the one who really liked Bloodlines A LOT better than VA. I loved VA, but bloodlines has this endearing quality to it that I always thought VA lacked. So no, I was not at all disappointed in these series, on the contrary, these series made me slightly disappointed with VA.
