Laura | 49 comments Hello: I just finished The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen. I just loved it, what a simple, "fun" story. She so much reminds me of Alice Hoffman. I am really drawn to this type of story line. Does anyone have suggestions of any like minded authors?

KrisT | 553 comments I just finished The sugar Queen too but I didn't care for it as much as I liked her first Garden Spells. Have you read that one?
I do see the bit of Alice Hoffman in her writing. Have you read many of Hoffmans works?
I will think if I have read any others like this and get back to you.

Dolly (dollya) Besides what I see here on goodreads which is what I tend to look at the most. There is this thing called literature map. I don't know if you've seen this before, but it is pretty accurate in showing authors that are similar:

http://www.literature-map.com/

You type in the author you like and click continue. The person you typed is in the middle and then authors that are similar are close to the name and the further out the name is the less similar they are. I hope that makes sense. I think it will if you look at the site.

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) I've read 1 book by Alice Hoffman, "Here on Earth" a long time ago & it's one of my fav's. I haven't read "Garden Spells" yet though it's on a shelf in the living room - I'm a huge fan of southern fiction. (Sorry I'm of no help, lol!)
