Kevin (manchesterunited) My goal last year was to read 100 books in a year. This year, in addition to reading 100 books, I am trying to focus more on "making myself" read classics as well as what I usually read. So I guess now that I am writing this down, I truly must accomplish it. :)

Since January 1, 2009:
- My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler
- London by Peter Ackroyd
- The Fugitive by Robert Fish
- The Lost Prophecies by the Medieval Murderers
- The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski
- Into the Dark by Peter Abrahams
- Uncle Montague's Tales by Chris Priestly
- Shakespeare by Bill Bryson
- Hamlet by William Shakespeare
- Macbeth by William Shakespeare
- The Good Thief's Guide to Paris by Chris Ewan
- Fairy Tale Detectives by Michael Buckley
- Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
- Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen
- The River by Gary Paulsen
- Brian's Return by Gary Paulsen
- Brian's Hunt by Gary Paulsen
- Behind the Curtain by Peter Abrahams
- The Mysterious Stranger by Mark Twain
- Firmin by Sam Savage
- Nightmare Abbey by Thomas Peacock
- Richard III by William Shakespeare
- Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
- The Warden by Anthony Trollope
- Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
- 1601 by Mark Twain (short story)
- Adam's Journal by Mark Twain (short story)
- Barchester Towers by Anthony Trollope
- Letters on the English by Voltaire
- Voyager by Diana Gabaldon
- Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
- Wessex Tales by Thomas Hardy
- Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon
- The Well Beloved by Thomas Hardy
- Shakespeare's Champion by Charlaine Harris

Kevin (imkevbo) Best of luck Kevin!

It's very ambitious, but I'm sure you will be successful!

Megan | 86 comments Wow, that's a pretty impressive list, those aren't exactly picture books that you're reading. I'm about a third of the way into Anna Karenina. I really like it so far, but what did you think overall?

I frankly thought Tolstoy needed a good editor. I always wanted to read it, but I was thrilled when I was finished. Good story line in sections, but certain characters bored me. Good luck...I hope your experience is better! :)
