Does anyone else think that Leo is being sort of underestimated and denounced?

To be truthful, Leo is my favourite character. He's the one who built the ship and who will allow everyone to proceed with the quest. But in this book, he was told how he would never fit in and always remain as the seventh wheel and it really hurt his self-esteem.

So I'm wondering if Leo might just snap from all the pressure on him. What if he gets angry at the others for always hanging around together when he nearly died building the ship? What if he gets jealous that all of them are growing closer and closer yet he needs to spend all his time planning and fixing things? Will he fall-out with the group?
I think he is one of the more important ones on this quest because only he can repair the ship and... I wish that the others would wake up and stop blaming him for what he does wrong, like how he forgot to change the ship mode to sonar after steering for TWO hours and getting a little nagging from Coach Hedge... What do you think?

Leo is totally my favorite character too.

I think they don't really realize how important Leo is. They make fun of him, and he's all alone as the seventh wheel. But I definitely think he's important for sure. Otherwise, he wouldn't be one of the seven. I think he's going to be really important in the end, based on the line in the prophecy, To storm or fire, the world must fall.

As for the underestimation, where that really matters is where Gaea sees him. If she underestimates him, which I don't think she does, then he's a bigger threat to her. As it is, he's already a big enough threat. And now, with Archimedes sphere, he's got more power behind him.

I think the end of MoA changed how things work. Leo saved Frank and Hazel from death. He found the sphere of Archimedes. And now he's directing the demigods to Greece, with the Athena Parthenos. Hopefully, they'll realize his worth. And so will he.

To storm or fire, the world must fall
might indicate a battle of percy/Jason vs. Leo
The Gods like to get inside peoples heads, and Leo is the most vulnerable.

Yeah! Leo is one of my favorite characters too!
He did so many useful things to the group so he definitely deserves some sort of... acceptance and gratitude?

Leo -like gaea said- is definetely important. I think eventough he feels left out, he will do whatever he has to save his friends and the world. He's not selfish, so he will put all of his bad feelings aside to help when they need him.

Nah.

Leo is one of my favourite characters...he should get more credit...

I LOVE LEO!! TEAM LEO FOREVER> Percy will always be my favourite but its close, so close...

MY PUPPY IS SO INSECURE!!! I would sing What Makes You Beautiful, but of course I can't. He's too busy saving Percabeth. He's my favorite fictional character EVER! I love him to death. I feel like the rest of the Seven really do underestimate him. Oh and when Percy yelled at him, I literally wanted to slap him! LEO IS MY PUPPY TO KEEP. I don't feel as bad considering the fact that basically the whole entire fandom praises him.

The rest of the seven don't give him enough credit. Without him, they
1. Couldn't even be on their quest
2. Could never fix the ship, and as a result would be captured by the Romans
3. Would be eaten by Shrimpzilla
4. Couldn't steer
and a lot more things too. He found Archimedes' scroll, which will give them an edge over Gaea. No one really appreciates him. I'm not saying they completely don't appreciate him, but they take him for granted, and without him their quest would be a failure. He also takes more responsibility than the others when he messes up, and they notice his mistakes more. If any of the others had been the ones to fire on new rome, it would have been easier to gain the trust of the seven back than it was for Leo. All the others are too busy with Jason and Percy, and don't realize how important Leo really is.

Leo is also one of my favorite characters and it's sad that no one much appreciates him but I believe that later in the series, he will become an extremely important part that all the other demigods will look up to him....that is i HOPE :P
