All these books are for future publication yet they are already in a series? I'm thinking delete the series, but maybe..."
They all have too many ratings/adds for that.
Let me go do some research.

That actually bothers me the most, since none of them are released yet. How can you pre-rate a book fairly? *grumpy*

I cannot find mention of this book anywhere except mention on his website. Here: http://www.brandonsanderson.com/artic...
TWO NEW YOUNG ADULT BOOKS NEXT YEAR!
Now that AMoL is done, I can pick up some projects that have been waiting for years. The first is The Rithmatist, which was the last book I finished in its entirety before being offered the Wheel of Time work. I never had time to do the revisions needed to make the book work, so it sat on my shelf for five years.
Well, Tor is going to publish it next year, now that I've been able to get revisions in. It's a young adult fantasy/steampunk/mystery about a boy who gets free tuition to a magic school because his mom is the cleaning lady—yet he has no magical talents himself. I'll post more on it as next summer approaches.
The second project is Steelheart, a post-apocalyptic story about a world where people start to gain super powers—but only evil people get them. It follows a young man who seeks to join a group called the Reckoners, freedom fighters who assassinate people with powers. Random House/Delacorte is releasing it sometime next year, probably.

As for the others, Goodreads has said time and again that members use the rating system as they see fit. It may be that someone rated it five stars so they know they want to read it the most on their list. I don't get it, but GR doesn't enforce that a book should be released before it's rated.
ETA: There are actually film rights in the mix for this already. Which confuses me since it's not out yet, lol.

Film rights don't actually mean anything. Books are optioned all the time, sometimes well in advance of any book actually being published.
On topic, I don't know if deleting these will do anything. They'll probably just be added again. Might want to wait for a super who knows more about these things though.

Thanks... I didn't know that. I thought it was some implication that a story is good.

Under the Steelheart header it says that Delacorte is releasing Steelheart in Fall of 2013 and books #2 and #3 are under contract.
Since there is definitely evidence that it is planned and contracted - I would leave it alone. Forthcoming books are more that acceptable for Goodreads and, like Lafon said, they are likely to be added again. We'll all be going grey if we try to delete them.
Many author's plan their books as series - so it's not out of the ordinary for a trilogy to be announced before a first book is published.
All these books are for future publication yet they are already in a series? I'm thinking delete the series, but maybe also the individual entries. What's the protocol?
