Right now I am reading out of mine with a sort of steam punky Science Fiction..."

I may check that out Janie. Always trying to expand my horizons, so I will definitely take a look :)

message 256: by J.S. (new)

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) I just finished White: The Great Pursuit by Ted Dekker and I feel like I've been sucked into the Twilight Zone.

message 257: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) Yes it was Janie!

Grogan is a clever storyteller. I'm not a huge dog person and really, the book is just about their pet dog Marley, there are no real pivotal moments in the book, but I still found myself laughing and crying along!

message 258: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson That is easy to understand Michelle. Even more so for me since I am a dog person! LOL I watched the movie recently crying like a baby!

Finished The coming of dark, was a good read. Presently reading A Maiden's Grave. A very good book so far. I am enjoying it.

message 259: by Janie (new)

Awesome Kyle. Deaver is awesome.

message 261: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson Well this is the first I have read of Deaver and so far I am liking the one I am reading. Our UBS is stocked full of Deaver too. I did not wanna buy a bunch till I read something. This one I am reading was one of my moms that I happened across in the boxes. So I pulled it out for a read. I have 2 other of his books. I have The Bone Collector, and The Bodies Left Behind.

Just finished The Hellfire Club by Peter Straub. A great read.

message 270: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Finished A Dance With Dragons, which of course, was fantastic. This whole series is great.

**I am late posting this... :O

message 271: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson Finished The Quiet game, now working on Black, by Dekker, and Look again by Lisa Scottoline.

message 272: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence | 51 comments Abraham by Bruce Feiler

message 273: by J.S. (new)

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) I just finished Eyes Wide Open by Ted Dekker. It was very suspenseful but then it got all trippy at the end--not that that is necessarily a bad thing! It ended up tying into another series that he wrote. His books tend to do that a lot.

Just finished Before I Go to Sleep. Fantastic novel!

message 275: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC Under the Dome, for the second time. It holds up well. I totally had to raise my rating.

Hey Chuck, that was one of the best book that I've ever read by SK. I can't wait for the series to start on TV next month. It's going to be great. You should try listening to it if you can.

message 277: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence | 51 comments I really like DK's writing and it's hard to say which book is my favorite. The last book I read of his was Darkfall.

message 278: by [deleted user] (new)

I recently finished Toys by James Patterson Toys and am currently reading The Lost Years by Mary Higgins Clark The Lost Years

Yeah, it's really good, I agree. I'm also really excited about the series. I re-read it in preparation for the series.

message 280: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (RebeccaSL) | 1 comments I just finished this semester at school, so I have time to pick up a book for pleasure now :)

sooooooooo, i just started A Storm of Swords and I am super excited about it

message 281: by J.S. (new)

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) Yesterday I finished What Dreams May Come by Richard Matheson, and was sorely disappointed with it. About 60% of the "story" was the main character getting a tour of heaven led by his spirit guide cousin Albert. The real "action" didn't start until close to the end, which turned out to be very unsatisfying, IMO.

Just finished Shadowfires by Dean Koontz. Another great one!

message 283: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Finished: Flesh and Bone, and gave it 4 stars. Great series and this one brought in some twists that i do not like, but in a good way of not liking... get me?? predators worse than zombies... or zombies evolving. that is too creepy.

message 284: by Malina (new)

Malina Just finishedThe Sandcastle Girls, I really enjoyed it, taught me about the Armenian genocide, which is not a part of history I really knew about.

message 285: by Ashley (new)
