Well at least it wasn't too bad, Lee..:)

Lee (leeshirk) | 101 comments True, I am reading abandon right now and really liking it.

message 304: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson Just Finished Fallout which means the series is over. Kinda sad to see it end. What a profound series, heart wrenching actually. It was also very frustrating for me as well. I think Mom to Kristina could have handled things better. But I have to say that my childhood does not seem so bad now after reading this.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 6 comments Just finished Triage by Jack Ketchum . My review is up already. Not too bad overall.

Wow. I really loved that one, Janie. Sorry it wasn't good for you.

message 311: by Squire (new)

Squire (srboone) Finished The Great Succession Crisis Extended Edition, a GR win, and it made me not want to read for a while. Tried to read NOS4A2, but I couldn't get into it. Still looking for that book that will get me excited about reading a gain.

Enjoy the rest of your read!

message 329: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson I am enjoying it Dustin now that I got past all the election to the committees stuff, then the meetings, that drove me insane and seemed to drag pretty bad, but now I am past that part finally.

message 330: by Dustin (new)

Dustin | 1195 comments Mod
Yeah, that can be a bit tedious and somewhat difficult to get through, but it's all a part of the overall story. I'm glad you're now on the last leg of the novel!!:)

message 331: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson So I finished the Stand, and now I have been reading Shelter by Harlan Coben. It is a pretty good read. Shelter is the first book of his YA series. So I will definitely keep going on it. It is a great mystery with a nice air of creepiness about it. I love that.

message 332: by Squire (new)

Squire (srboone) Doctor Sleep.

Disappointing. 2.5 stars, but I bumped it up to 3 because it's better than Black House and Rose Madder, both of which I rated 2 stars.

All right, congratulations, Janie!!!

message 334: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson Thanks Dustin, it is a great book, but imo not his best. Or at least not my favorite. But then again King wrote a lot of books so lots to choose from for favorites.

message 335: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence | 51 comments I just finished listening to Eyes Wide Open by Andrew Gross

message 336: by Dustin (new)

Dustin | 1195 comments Mod
Wow, you don't think it's one of his best? I'm always surprised when I hear that, but we all have our own tastes. And you're right, King is so prolific, there are a ton to choose from!

message 337: by r8chh (new)

r8chh | 30 comments I just finished the gates by John connolly, it was alright. I've been on this fall/October obsession. making pumpkin pie and watching scary movies all the time haha. and buying probably way too many fall candles. I love October :) which do you think would be a better October read? the graveyard book by Neil gaiman or Harry potter and the order of the Phoenix? Lol

message 348: by [deleted user] (new)

I recently finished Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King Mr. Mercedes

message 349: by Sonia (new)

Sonia | 2 comments Hi all! My last book I finished was Dribs n Drabs by Dave Brudie. If you like short horror stories, then this one is for you. Some of them were kind of gory at times and some graphic details, but they kept me on the edge of my seat, some shocking endings in there. I recommend it to you horror fans. :) Dribs n Drabs by D.
