Tracey (stewartry) I made a promise I wouldn't squee over this. So it is very calmly and grown-up-ly that I say that that was a really, really lovely reading, and much too short.

I almost recognized the voice. Who is cumberbatch? Will now go look at the link.

Tracey (stewartry) He's Sherlock Holmes! The BBC Sherlock - the good one. It's a brilliant show. And his voice was just terrific.

Haven't seen an episode. They haven't shown them here :-(

Kim (kimmr) I agree with Tracey, Hayes. It's a great show. If you can get it on DVD, it's definitely worth watching. And I also loved Cumberbatch's voice.

ETA: Tracey - I'm one degree removed from Benedict Cumberbatch. My daughter's former flatmate for whom I am something of a surrogate mum was at university with him and they were in student productions together.

Tracey (stewartry) Oo! Neat. I'm possibly *counts on fingers* two degrees (or three, depending on whether Orlando Bloom has any scenes with him (doubtful) or Martin Freeman for The Hobbit); I'm friends with a writer who is Orlando's yoga teacher and friend. (Which means, more importantly, that I'm two degrees from Sean Bean.)

Sherlock is co-created by the man cursed by Doctor Who fans everywhere for ruining their lives with his cruel cruel brilliance, Steven Moffat. It's lovely.
