Chris (bibliophile85) I wish you all a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving Eve/Day....but I think I shall remain aloof and pass on the glomps ;)

*GLOMPS CHRISTOPHER*

message 7: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) Couldn't avoid it could I? :D

Not that I'm complaining TOO much mind you

Oh...what fun this group is hehe

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

*Glomps back*

Christopher, the nature of a glomp negates any attempt to avoid it.

Susan | 6406 comments Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel glomp giddy.

message 10: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Giddy giddy glomp.
Funky. Funky.

message 11: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Safe travels...

message 12: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You, too! (I'm not going anywhere.)

message 13: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Let's clamber into a boxcar one of these days and see where it takes us, Felarry.

message 14: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You're on!

message 15: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I stopped by Union Station while I was in Denver. Looks like it's going to be pretty spiffy whenever they're done with the redevelopment project. The area around the station is actually pretty lively already...and nice.

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) It is very nice. Have we talked about Union Station in Kansas City? It's beautiful.

message 17: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I haven't made it to KC yet, but it's on my list of places to visit. I'd like to check out the Nelson Atkins Museum--which is supposed to be fantastic--the train station, a Royals game, and probably a few other things as well.

message 18: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Let me know and maybe I could meet you there. The Truman Library is worth a visit, too.

message 19: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Will do. I'd really like to get to Omaha at some point as well--just waiting for an opportunity to present itself.

message 20: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4439 comments What's a glomp?

message 21: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That would be grand. The Joslin is terrific.

message 22: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I think you mentioned the Joslin once before; it did seem really interesting--nice building, strong collection. There are so many places across the country that I'd love to visit. Last week was the first time I had ever gotten to hike around in the Rockies--unbelievably beautiful.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Evie, it's sort of a big tackle hug.

message 24: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yes the Rockies are fabulous.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

*hangs head in shame that Portland's museum isn't worth a visit*

message 26: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yeah but you have all those microbreweries. And the Columbia Gorge.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

The gorge is awesome.

message 28: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) And women on bikes.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Heh. Felarry!

message 30: by Chris (last edited Nov 21, 2012 11:52PM) (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) Ah what the hell....its 10 minutes to Thanksgiving and I'm feeling a little down, I could use a big 'ol glomp

GLOMPS ALL MY FRIENDS :)

And yes, the gorge is very awesome...so is OMSI speaking of Portland museums

message 31: by Jammies (new)

Jammies *GLOMPS Christopher*

Sorry I missed out on the glomping last night, but here I am!

*glomps everyone, including the nice bear*

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

OMSI is cool, C. But, Jonathan is a fine arts kind of museum visitor. Our museum is less than amazing. Last time I went the Monet wasn't even out! Bah!!!!

*Glomps Jammies back*

Just her back? Would not a glomp enclose the entire Jammies?

::laughs at own stupid joke::

Félix (habitseven) Phil wrote: "::laughs at own stupid joke::"

Somebody has to.

evie (ecie) | 4439 comments Amelia wrote: "Evie, it's sort of a big tackle hug."

Oh, o.k.

message 36: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments The rest of y'all were late for my glomps. I was busy dancing it up country style at the retirement home over the holidays. My Thanksgiving dinner? An eggless omelet at IHOP.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Eggless? So, a pile of melted cheese and bacon on a plate?

message 38: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Amelia wrote: "Eggless? So, a pile of melted cheese and bacon on a plate?"

With egg substitute...

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

(I kinda thought...maybe. Still, it was a funny visual.)

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, they add pancake batter to their eggs to make the omelets fluffy... so I had pancake stuff with fake eggs, omelet stuffs (whatever's in the Western omelet), and cheese... lots of good processed cheese.
