Christy Stewart I LOVED Discovery of Witches and am dying to read more like it. Any suggestions? I can't put my finger on what I loved so much. I like the fact that there were multiple creatures involved. I loved the romance and the fact that the romance was not focused on sex. I liked the historical aspect of it but yet it didn't feel like a history lesson and it also didn't depend on me having a solid knowledge of history in order to understand the story. Does all of that make sense? I hope you all have some good recommendations. I am dying for another great read.

Her Dear and Loving Husband (Loving Husband, #1) by Meredith Allard
Her Loving Husband's Curse (Loving Husband, Book #2) by Meredith Allard

It too has more than one supernatural being and has a slight historical element to it. Not as complex or intricate as the All Souls Trilogy but still a really good read.

Michelle (ndayeni) | 51 comments I've heard people comment that the Elemental Mysteries series, starting with A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries #1) by Elizabeth Hunter , is quite similar, though I haven't read them myself yet to say if I agree or not.

I think it is similar Nday. In my opinion it is actually better as I was one of the rare few that didn't care for a Discovery of Witches.

Did you read the follow up to ADOW, Shadow of Night?

I don't know if I would say they are similar but I really liked the Elemental Mysteries and would recommend them.

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments I didn't realize I had A Hidden Fire to read. I might have to try to push it up my TBR now.

I think it is still free on Amazon right now to for the Kindle version.

Abigail (anagrom) | 4 comments Well, besides the sequel Shadow of Night like Kyra said I'd suggest perhaps the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I know people who liked that series and really like the All Souls books.

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments The Outlander series doesn't have weres, vamps or demons. It sort of has witches and then the slight paranormal element of time travel. Really I would classify then as more historical than anything else.

They are fabulous reads though but very graphic with the violence and the love scenes (and that is a big part of the series in the later books).

Abigail (anagrom) | 4 comments I'm sorry, not very familiar with the Outlander series. I just know there's the historical tie.

But for weres, vamps, and supernatural mixing with humans Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon might be a good place to start.

I would also say it's similar but Elemental Mysteries is much better in some ways. I have read all but the last one and they just kept getting better and better. Make sure you have #2 ready after you read the first one, though. I highly recommend them!
