LynnB Well, I finished the book. It had some great descriptive prose but the story didn't engage me that much. I think it's one of those books that's very dependent on the likes of the reader. I gave it 3 stars.

I've only read Divisadero which I didn't care for that much. I liked The Cat's Table better than it.

I haven't read The English Patient, but that's his most famous book, I think.
