That would be my dream guild as well, but my guys and gals are too few and have too different interests. Really hard to bring them together to do something socially.
What is WoW darts, by the way?
The daily grind was overwhelming for me in the beginning, until I could get off my "I have to do them all" track to "You know, it doesn't matter when you finish them". Now that I've finally finished golden lotus and Klaxxi and seeing what awesome Lore quests are waiting at the end, I am again motivated to get further.
I don't know if I've seen it posted here, but the way they are doing the Shieldwall quests is really interesting. Interspersing normal dailies with the one time missions really gives you a feeling of progress.
I do like that change for shield wall, but I'm still burnt out from all the initial ones so I rarely feel like doing it. I'm not even revered yet.
I want to get exalted with golden lotus for the kite mount, but I just can't bring myself to do them again.

I played it back in 2006, if I recall well, and up to that dragon exp. with brakes now and then. Was even Grand Marshall back in vanilla and then they decided to make it so easy it became ridiculous.
So, what did they make this time, ninja pandas?

Had a look into Heart of Fear, and boss 1 doesn't seem unfeasible, even though I suck at dodging his soundwaves. Sadly, he bugged out on us after try two, so we called it a night.
But finally, some guys returning so we're looking at at least a regular weekly raid now, woohoo.
Rob, thanks for the reminder of the kite mount. I actually forgot that there's always a mount linked to revered, and hit it sometimes last week. I felt that it helps enormously if you just do them with some guildies together, otherwise it gets really annoying real fast.
Oh, and I bit down and built the new engineer mount for gnomes. It sure looks spiffy, but for 54k, it's a one seater and no achievement? Boy, do I feel burned.

The mount I was referring to is a reward for being exalted with all of the original Panda daily factions (plus the Tushui Pandaren) from this achievement. Maybe you were too, and just accidentally said revered when you meant exalted.
I actually didn't notice you need to do the Tushui too. I guess that means throwing on the tabard and running some heroics again.

Was this expansion any use. I was really disappointed with Cataclysm, the quests were just too easy but I did like that they finally made a linear story for chain quests.
I really liked the expansion at the start, but then I got tired of feeling like I *had* to do 2 hours of dailies for rep just to keep up.
Once I got over that and just decided to do it when I felt like (and got revered which is all you need this expansion for gear, exalted is just vanity items), it wasn't as bad.
The raids have been pretty fun minus a few encounters I'm sure were designed because blizzard hates melee ^_^. Though our guild progress has been slow, so I've only completed them all on LFR so far.
Scenarios are a cool addition too. They are quick as most of them are fun.
Pet battles were more fun than I thought, but I honestly haven't done anything with them since the first month or so.
So I'd say better than Cata at least.

Thanks for the update. Daily annoy the hell out of me. I normally played the quests and BG when all the Solo quests were done. Hopefully Pandaria will keep me occupied until ES Online comes out for real.

Double agent annoys me! I had max level horde and alliance toons for 2 expansions.
Then, in Cata the last of my horde friends quit, so I moved my mage and druid to alliance to guild them with my rogue. So now my highest level horde toon is a 54 warrior.
I've only had the patience to level my rogue for end game pve and my mage for pvp.

I started as alliance, because that's what my friend's I was playing with picked. I wanted to be an elf anyways.
I later rolled horde with some friends for pvp back in the pre-battlegroup days because our server had a 5:1 A:H ratio, so it took 2 hours to queue for 1 BG on alliance while Horde had instant queues.
I used to get lost in horde cities all the time so I can understand how you feel. Eventually I got used to both sides so I can navigate around pretty well. Except UC. I know it's a circle, but I always walk the long way around. EVERY Time.
Honestly I liked Horde better as a whole, but it was either stay horde and pvp alone, or move to alliance. Some days I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to stay horde for pvp. Alliance in our Battlegroup seems really bad.
I'd say it's just a case of "grass is always greener" because I remember being in random BGs on horde and people complaining how horde sucks, but I've played both sides, and horde is generally much better.

Horde all the way, I cant come to terms with my dark elf hunter hatred lol. I would just get confused if I was Alliance anyway having been Horde for so many years I would be running the wrong way in battle grounds trying to kill the elves and everything.
Plus apart from Alterac we won every other battle ground not easily but usually did.

That's because that map favors Alliance badly. Horde has no choke point equivalent to the bridge alliance does. I used to have when AV was the holiday, now I love it. It's the only thing alliance can reliably win! lol.

On the kite mount, thanks for clarifiying and yes, I confused revered with exalted. That means I still have a long way to go, as neither Shado-Pan nor Celestials ar close to exalted for me.
I really like all the fun achievements they built in this time, like for the daily quests where you have to win the dragon race, or roll down the wall at top speed.
I still find new ones, one of our guild guys is going for "Relic Hunter". I didn't even know there were relics around ^^ And just by coincidence I stumbled over the Krilmandar mini "questline", which was awesome!
Has anybody visited the turtle hatching festivities (forgot the actual name) at Krasarang? Sounds really cute, watching all those baby turtles hatch and run to the sea, but I have always missed the timeslot or forgotten about it completely.

Is that the thing on Sunday nights? I tried going to that once, but either the time was wrong do to DST or it was bugged.
There seemed to be a bunch of other people around waiting with me, because apparently you can capture a rare pet during that time.

Well, rareish. Only a limited amount of Wanderer's Festival Hatchlings spawn during every festival, which warcraftpets says happens at 9pm and 11pm (server time) on Sundays. And like any other pet you can capture in the wild, they vary in quality from poor to rare. Things like the Scourged Whelpling or the Minfernal are actually much more hard to find.
And this seems like a group that would appreciate this: I named my Festival Hatchling "Atuin"

Useful info and <3 :)
Thanks for the clarification David. Obviously I'm not much of a pet collector. lol.
I just like being able to make my Mini Diablo and Zergling from the original collector's edition fight stuff.

Thought of going back, but don't know if I'd be able to handle it. I have played one other MMO since my self-imposed hiatus and withdrawal from them. This was last year. It went well, but if I had players behind like I did in WoW, I could have easily seen myself getting pulled in again.
Having said all that, I love gaming and will be trying probably Neverwinter and Elder Scrolls Online. MMOs were and are a part of who I am. I can only stay away for so long. Just have to learn how to control the urges.

Plus I'm somewhat curious to be a Pandarian Monk. Already installing the client again.
I'm such a sucker.

My girl caught a turtle, but as we are too lazy to read up on facts, she didn't catch the rareish one, but a normal dragon turtle. Well, the model is the same, so I sometimes wonder why it's worth to collect the special ones.
Additionally, my girl made me buy the Gilnean Raven Pet which is only available to Worgen. Strange enough, it's only buyable once. That seems like a very strange restriction to me, as it's not really scarce, just annoying. More or less you have to create a Worgen toon, buy the bird so it's in your collection and then can delete the toon again. As I gave mine to my girl, I would have to create another Worgen (and get him out of the starting area) to buy it again.

The dailies grind of MOP has been horrible for me (had morning sickness for 3 months after MOP was released, very bad timing) but my husbands basically done and doesn't mind.
We haven't even looked at proper raiding yet, as most of our guildies are uni students and parents, and we thought it would be nice for everyone to relax over the holidays and focus on RL. We'll be starting in February :)
I guess that's the advantage to having a social guild though. We're in no rush, and happy to raid once a week.
In saying that, the aim of our wow time is to make it as fun as possible for every type of player, so we do current raids, retro raids on sunday nights for fun, lols and lowbie achievements, game nights on fridays like hide and seek and wow darts, and then two nights a week we have lfr/heroic/normals, where at least one officer will go through and pump out some time together to help. We have about 200 members at the moment so it's easily manageable, and about 20 vent regulars that keep it fun :)
Definitely not everyones idea of a great time, but I like to run a laid back happy guild.
Is there anyone else on oceanic servers?
