Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Soooo I am aftare some advice here. I am currently working on book 2 of my series, and I wanted to add an "also by" so I can put book 1 but also the Splendid Salmagundi as I have a couple of pieces in there and I am happy to promote. I also was going to put a link Book can be found at.... etc. I am sure I read that this was a bit dodgy as far as KDp were concerned so I contacted them to ask. Now I get the usual slightly yodaish message saying they do not allow promotion of services withn publications. OK so fair enough means I can't put the link to my cover artists website.

But I know I have seen links to author pages, and other titles within books and if the books are mine all I am promoting is my own stuff which is on amazon anyway.

It was all rather vague and the FAQ is written in legalese so I ended up even more confused than before.
In the end I decided not to bother, people can go to my author page. I also emailed them back saying no that doesnt help it isnt a service it is an "also by" and I see it all the time.

I wish I hadn't bothered but you hear so many stories about people getting their books blocked because they breached ToS and don't know why. Amazon are quiet reticent about elaborating on reasons, or so I have been led to believe.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If you'd like to include "Also By This Author" feature, You may create your own Author page where customers can all the titles you have published and your Biography.
