I read City of Bones and Iron King but only the first books in those series. Paranormal sounds cool, but I can work with whatever.

Eil stood at the end of her driveway, listening to her iPod. Tomorrow was her birthday and she was really happy. Waiting for her bestfriend, Eli looked around with a slight sigh. It was cold and mucky out. It had just rained and several puddles surrounded her


Josh walked along the street. He has used an invisibility rune and was now invisible to all humans. They walked around him unknowingly as he searched for a ravener demon that was near.

Hadley walked nearby, an umbrella perched over her head. She hummed quietly to herself.

Josh woke up thinking something was wrong. He looked around the room but so no evidence of anything being wrong. Sighing, he rolled out of bed and started to get dressed.

I accidently used the wrong charrie name for my guy in the city of bones. Your didn't post for your charrie in the Iron King roleplay.

Oh yeah that's what got me confused. Sorry. I'll change the name on mine.

Derek heard a hiss and walked into an alley. He pulled out his stele, seeing two raveners.


Eli wondered why Josh was late. The bus was near. She kicked a few rocks, biting her lip.

Hadley sensed that a demon was near. She narrowed her eyes and looked around.

Josh appeared a few minutes later, out of breath. "Let's go" he said to Eli.

Derek began to slash at them, grunting when one came close to biting him.


Eli smiled softly. "Late much?" She asked as the bus pulled up. She got on, sitting in the back.

Hadley saw him. He stood in a corner. Everything about him screamed "demon" to her, even though to a random person walking by he would just look lik a normal teenage boy.

"Sorry," he apologized, sitting next to her.

Derek killed one and ran tiwards the other, slashing at it.


Eli shrugged. "Its fine." She took out her iPod. "Can you hold this?" She asked even though the iPod was made of iron but she didn't know the effects it would give him.

With one solid stroke of her arm, she killed the demon. It shattered into a puddle of blood and guts. Cringing, she cleaned it up until there was no evidence.

"Um..." Josh's mind racked for excuses that he couldn't touch the iPod.

Derek killed the last one, watching it vanish. When demons die, they disappeared.

Eli sighed. "Fine." She set the iPod in her lap.

Hadley sighed and moved on. Just then she bumped smack into someone. She gasped.

Josh breathed a sigh of pure relief. Thank God. That had been close

Derek grunted, staggering back a step. "Sorry," he said, blood on his cheek. He studied her for a moment.

Eli stood when the bus pulled up at the school and walking out. Then she saw something out of the corner of her eyes. She looked to see a strange creature for a split second before it vanished. Weird.

Hadley looked right back at him. "Sorry." She looked down at her feet. She wasn't used to talking to other people.

Josh seemed to be oblivious. Eli turned to him. "Hey...Um, did you see that?"

Derek waved a dismissive hand. "Its fine, fellow shadowhunter." He grinned. "What's your name?" He lifted her chin with a finger.

Eli frowned and looked at Josh. "Did you see that?l she asked.

((Oh, um sorry. didn't realize we were doing that kind of roleplay.))

"I'm Hadley," she said. "And you are...?"

Josh replied, "What?"

Derek looked her in the eyes with his dark blue ones. "Derek but you can call me...Derek. I don't really have a nickname." He shrugged.


Eli shook her head, her brows furrowed. "Nothing. Let's get to class." She sighed and walked into the buildkng.

"Oh. So, have you been noticing the amount of demons lately? I've been killing several a day." Hadley said, thinking aloud.

"Okay," Josh said, and followed her.

Derek nodded, leaning against the wall. "Yeah, I have. I just killed two raveners."

"Gosh. They're everywhere," said Hadley.

That day at lunch, Josh walked into the lunchroom and looked around for Eli.

Derek nodded. "Yeah." He scratched his chin. "Wanna go get some coffee" he asked.


Eli sat at the back at an empty table by the windows, picking at her sandwich.

"Sure," she accepted. They walked a little ways until they reached the cofee shop.

Josh saw her and walked towards her. "What's up?" he asked her.

Derek walked towards it and opened the door. "Ladies first," he murmured with a smirk.


Eli rose her sandwich. "Eating."
