For the explanation of the Castles roleplay.

Alright in this topic I will be explain part of the lore that surrounds the castle roleplay and I will also be taking questions that pertain to anything you might want to know.


To start the beginning predates to an ancient human-like society in an alternate dimension. This race commonly referred to as " The Ancients " were able to unlock and develop a physic ability that allowed them to far surpass that of normal humans. They began to fight a brutal inter species war over their new powers.


As time past some members of the society grew even more greedy and jealous over the most powerful Ancient of all," The Wise One ". It was said that he was the first among them all, and that he was the first to develop his physic powers. The few who chose to push their powers to the limit were known as “ The Corrupt “ their powers granted them unimaginable strength, but at the cost of losing their very conscious being. This spawned, “ The Evils, “ a result of the corrupt beings. They have no fear, no conscious, no weakness. They feel no pain and are capable of spreading their influence to others through breaks in the skin.


The Ancients decided that they needed to brand together in order to face the evolving threat, over time the Ancients realized that they were destined for failure as slowly their species was dying out. Just before total species extermination. The Wise used all his powers to eternally trap the Evil in a eternal state of limbo inside the Castles in order to guard the secrets of their race.


He created three stone fortresses......The Castles in order to house the Evils. Two books with purpose still unknown lie and the Third most powerful Castle contained the fabled power of the Ancients.


Today in the Year 2035 the World has being engulfed in a brutal resource war after the Earth’s supply of oil reached critically low levels. The last resources are being fought over everyday and it isn’t long before the world is torn asunder by the threat of nuclear weapons. The U.S government has figured out a way to create parallel dimensional vortex’s that they have used to try to find new resources. Instead they found the Castles and from their the story beings as they try to test what this new world holds.

Two Q's:

1) Do the "Corrupt" become the "Evils" over time, or create them?

2) If it's 2035 then what would the general view be on it? The culture and technology wise. Would there be floating vehicles and eye-scanners? Is it the typical sci-fi world?

Oh, also.....

3) Is there a prefered limit on age?

1.) no " The Corrupt" spawned the Evils and they multiplied over time.

2.) Yeah they do have eye scanners and interdimensional vortex rippers the works.

3.) age limit can be anything field agents should be in their prime though.

Right..... Okay. What if it was just a computer/engineer person, could it be a genius child? Like 8+?

I have a problem with that, but I'll look at it more when you post your character. (Just so you are forewarned.)

Insomnium? If that sort of technology is around, I would like to propose that the year is later than 2035 because that is only 23 (almost 22) years in the future and while it is highly unlikely that some of that technology would ever be developed (time/space/multiverse travel), it is even more unlikely that it would be developed so soon.

Yes. I am going to be critical now as things start to develop more and more.

OH! and what is "Their prime"?

To be technical, a person's physical and mental prime is their early to mid-thirties, approximately.

Well actually scientist predict that by the year 2060 they will find a way to harvest vaccume energy which if you need a comparison, the amount of vaccume energy in a space the size of a lightbulb has enough energy to boil all of earths oceans. So I would like to keep it under that, if you know what I mean.

Late twenties are fine althought one my characters is actually in his early twenties but there are reasons for that.

Can I make my character a cyborg 8 year old? Just asking now so I don't make her then have her rejected....

I feel a need to comment, so I am, but Insomnium should be the one to answer that question.

Well if they are a cyborg then I suppose that is fine because of the technology of the time period. Also yeah it is psychic power, I have minor dislexia and taking too many physic classes has made me incapable of writing psychic the same way.

I have a number of questions. I will identify each so they will hopefully be easier to answer.
a) What is the current government system of the US? Is it still a republic?
b) How public is the discovery of the Castles?
c) Does the CIA still exist?

(I think I forgot some. I will add them later if I remember them.)

I'm confused on a little something....

So, our characters are investigating this new-found dimension, right? Where the Castles are/etc? Is there a specific team going out to investigate? If so, how is the team comprised together?

This is to clarify "Positions" in the character profile, just to help my brain wrap around that detail. ^-^

A.) The gov is still republic, but things are breaking apart because of the war

b.)No public at all

c.)CIA disbanded after the third wold war all active agents and resources were relocated


A strike force team full of highly trained operativesare being sent out, but we have a team of scientist will be decoding data as the field agents recieve it.

How should we bring our charries in? Where do they start? Are they all assembled in a room awaiting instructions or are they being flown in like Etrius? (Although probably not as flaunty as his arrival ;) )
