Connecting Readers and Writers discussion

I have written 8 books in my To Be Sinclair series of science fiction romances, 7 regular books and one add-on book of four novellas. I've only been able to afford a professional editor since this summer, but now I have 3 of my books up in 2 formats, and the 1st book up for print-on-demand!

8 books x 3 formats (kindle, epub, POD) = 24, with seven out /24 = 29%. The first book was published 8/29/12; I'm hoping to get them all out in all three formats within the year!

Yah for sure. Series are a great way to build a loyal fan base. Good on you! Sadly I only have one book out but I'm frantically working on the second one. You've inspired me =)

The good news: I put up ROYALTY on 1/18, and one of my friends requested I put out a short anthology of just my Easter Eggs, so that went up 1/26. The bad news: I started writing the last book of the series, so although I have one more round of rewriting before sending books 5 and 6 to my editor, I'm not sure I'm going to make my one-year goal to have the first seven out!

Tracy's now editing my 'add-on' novel, an anthology of four novellas called Evan's Ladies (the youngest Imperial Son has a heckuva time finding and keeping a lady!), then she'll be doing Nobility, the official "Book 7". Then more rewrites and so forth; Book 8 (whose title I'm not sure I'll divulge for a while) is going to be massive, controversial, heart-wrenching, and definitely the last one of the series! I'm suffering grueling throes of anguish just writing some of these scenes, so I have no clue how long it will take!

So officially, I'll try to make my one-year goal, but I'm not laying any bets on myself at this point. Sob!

I did publish all 8 in one year -- in just over 10 months, actually! From Dignity on August 29, 2012, to Nobility on June 30th, 2013 :D
