Jane's low octane Mystery ABCs

We are so glad to have you back, but we understand the craziness around the holidays! ; )

Thanks for all the welcome back messages!
The craziness had nothing to do with the holidays, actually, but with biennial inspections that were unexpectedly held two months early.
I am a Technical Consultant for four Urgent Care laboratories, which have to pass federally mandated inspections every two years. The past two inspections cycles occurred in February, and I was anticipating the current cycle to be in Feb 2013.
Alas, I got a two-week notice, just before Thanksgiving, that all four inspections would be December 4 - 6. Hence the crazy-busy-ness that ensued.

If you are doing countries, I read a fun mystery set in the Solomon's earlier this year called Devil-Devil

My name is Jane, and I am a free-and-cheap-Kindle-book addict.

Just to make sure all the labs were spit-spot, with no major and few-if-any minor problems, I "gave back" the time off I had requested for the long Thanksgiving weekend. I worked straight through until the inspections were over, but did still take the actual holiday off.
At least the inspections are over for two years, and I can relax and enjoy Christmas!

Jane,
for X there's the option of Qiu Xiaolong, who write a series of detective novels featuring inspector Chen. I saw one while browsing the library shelves, so can't comment on how good it might be!

A is for Australia, the setting of Heavenly Pleasures

Number two in a nice cozy mystery series, about a baker, her bakery and her neighbors in Melbourne, Australia. This book took up right where the first book left off. I am looking forward to reading the third book, but I will have to wait until I get to G.

B is for Barbra Annino, author of Tiger's Eye

The third book in a paranormal series about a newspaper reporter who is also a witch. Book four, Emerald Isle, will be out in July - can't wait!

If you liked First Grave on the Right, you'll love this one. You'll find out what happens after Reyes (view spoiler) There's a nice mixture of Grim Reaping and Detecting for Charley in the book.["br"]>["br"]>

WOW!
This book was SO GOOD! Must hurry and finish the E book, so I can read Fourth Grave!

What? What am I telling Jane? Except Reyes is hot! hot!... well he should be since he's the devil's son.
The books are all over 200. She's read them in order (she was so excited to read the next Charlie Daniels that she forgot to post C, but she had read it). She's doing mystery genre which is a mix of title, author, characters first and last name, setting, etc.
What are we missing?

So sorry, Jane! (Hiding bright red face!). Not a good brain day for me!

You can use a mix if your books are all in your favorite genre.

Double WOW! Can't wait for Fifth Grave to be released!

I love me some Corinna Chapman!

Looking forward to the release of Book 3 Something Blue this spring.

#3 in the noir Sydney Rye series (no skipping around - read these four-star books in order).

#7 in the Reigning Cats and Dogs series, about a veterinarian who is also a sleuth.

#3 in the Gray Whale Inn Mystery Series, about a Texas native who moved to Maine, bought an inn and is running a bed-and-breakfast on an island.

#5 in Donna Andrews' wonderful series about a blacksmith / amateur sleuth, her zany (to put it mildly) family, and her boyfriend.

You can't read just one, you know.
;)

#4 in the Gray Whale Inn Mystery Series. The best one, so far! #5 is due out in May, I think.
