Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments As we move into the next year I wanted to get some thoughts about our group.

1.) Should we continue with the book of the month?
Please vote on the poll here http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/76...

2.) Author of the month, part of the reason why I think we may want to reconsider the BOM is due to the AOM. I love the author of the month and it is how I have learned about a lot of new authors. Also we have had the AOM list for a while and we seem to have a lot of new members so here is a poll to decide if we should restart the AOM list, meaning we wipe out the AOM history and restart.

3. Spotlight on new authors. It seems like there are so many new authors who are unknown and I would like to spotlight the newly published. Maybe we could create a list of new authors and see who is interested in participating in a discussion about the book as well as maybe answering questions about their book or their writing process.
What do you think?

Other things to look forward to next year will be a new release folder. Here you can feel free to start a topic about a new release book.

If you have other ideas and thoughts please let us know.

Gin | 338 comments I love buddy reads. I especially enjoy buddy reads of large series that read one book a month. It helps me through series I need to get through series I've been wanting to read. Is there a thread somewhere for who wants to buddy read.... somehere, or am I missing it?

Sandra | 4736 comments Gin, that's a very good idea.

I've noticed that Buddy Reads are very popular in other groups and there was mention of adding that here. So now we've had a request, I'll set up a spot for them :)

Buddy reads are when two or more people agree to read a book around the same time.

For example I want to read Last Kiss Goodnight. I would post a message asking if someone wants to read it with me and if someone says yes then I would set up a thread.

Make sense?

Keri | 182 comments yes and thanks. lol I've done that before with friends but never heard the term buddy reads. Threads sound more fun, when I did them we either texted or private messaged one another on here.

Sandra | 4736 comments Buddy reads on threads are much better, as more people can join in and its easier than PMing people. Faster to update. LOL.
