That's only what I've been saying all along.

There are so few big publishers left - I don't understand why they are just figuring this out. There are plenty of Indie Publishers (like Cool Main Press) who are picking up the slack.

Not to mention DIY authors like me.

Yes, I saw some KB bimbo sniping that it was out of date, and wondered if I should explain to her that it is normal with such apocalyptic forecasts to wait a while to see if they come true. But I don't have time to waste on educating thickoes (an Australianism Sharon will recognise!).

There are fewer publishers now - and more mergers to come. If '50 Shades' gave everyone in Random House a $5k then Random House isn't going anywhere.
