Leila (justsortofreading) | 41 comments I couldn't find that 'ask for advice' thread here....where did it disappear?

Anyway, figured I could make a thread anyway. I was browsing lists when I discovered some 'strange' books. Basically, books that didn't belong in the list. (For example 'published in 2008'. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was published in 2005...) and I was going to remove some when the little 'note' on the side scared me a bit.

So I was wondering, is it okay to actually remove books that doesn't seem to fit in the list. Most particularly, those lists that are date-centric?

If you're quite sure it doesn't belong (and the example you provide would certainly be one where I was quite sure), go ahead and delete. The warnings are there to be sure you really are sure.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Leila, Keep in mind that there are paperback editions of books that were originally published in earlier years, and please don't delete any books that have ISBNs, and make sure to combine before deleting any edition of a book.

Edit: Translated editions are sometimes published in later years than the original publication date also.

She's not talking about deleting books from the database. Just from Listopia lists.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Ah, I should have read more carefully. Ok, thanks.
