Background: Originally born in Paris, France. His parents wanted a better life for him and moving north to the UK seemed far better. He grew up in Bristol, UK. His parents taught him French until he was able to speak it fluently. He was of course, home schooled when his parents moved to the UK and was being taught simple things at a young age. He received a letter by owl and it enclosed that he had the option of attending the French or the British school of wizardry. His parents were very thrilled and immediately sent a return owl to Hogwarts for their son to attend. His father later was imprisoned in Azkaban Prison and then his mother a year after starting at Hogwarts. He was blessed with all of their money and the estate, but he was sent to a boys home, until he became of age. Jabberjillian's Home for Unattended Boy's became his new home, but with hopes he will be able to return to his family estate once this term ends.
Family: Mother and Father, both in Azkaban for being Dark Wizards practicing dark magic in the presence of and upon muggles.

School: Went to Durmstrang...He was in a house seemingly to be very similar to a mix between Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
Wand:
» wandwood: a dead Alder wood, causing bleeding to not exist at all as it was dried out. His wnad was the only one made from the particular branch as only the branch was dead on the tree, no other wand has been known or discovered like it.
» core: Triple Cored wand- Known to be very dangerous put in the wrong hands and very powerful and useful if it has chosen the wizard who wields it. Boomslang Venom and Augurey Tail Feather and Ramora Scales.
Ramora Scales boost power to any water-based spells, such as Aguamenti or the Bubble-Head Charm. Their wands are typically excellent for healing and potions, and they are often found in the hands of those with the Sight.
Augureys, or Irish Phoenixes, were once associated with powerful Dark wands, as their cries were thought to signify an upcoming death. However, they were in reality never a strong Dark core, and were more accurately a powerful core for Divinations. Misunderstood students may find themselves bonded to an Augurey wand, although these wands are altogether quite rare.
Boomslang Venom, whether crystallized or in a rarer liquid core, provides a small boost to Jinxes and Hexes thanks to its Venomous qualities. However, when a wandmaker undertakes the dangerous task of working with the raw Venom, it is generally with the aim of creating a powerful Transfiguration wand. Whether or not the advantages outweigh the risks is not generally agreed upon in wandmaking circles.
Altogether, the Alder wood keeps the three cores in check. This wand is perfect for Professor Calchas for he is a seer and very gifted in Transfigurations.

» flexibility: Sturdy; It was very hard to master many simple charms in younger years at school, but in DADA, Dark Arts, and Transfigurations he seemed to only struggle his first years then his wand instantly seemed to level with him.

He has coal black hair seemingly to shine when light hits it. His eyes are extremely dark no one can every see the real color of them, but when he seems really happy or extremely angered experiencing strong emotions or even going into an inner eye state of prophecy his eyes turn a bright choclatey swirling Hazel. He is around 6'1" with a slim figure, and a size 12 in shoes. His body may appear tall and feeble, but to cross someone like him is not in the best interest to anyone. He is rather tan and seems to have aspects of all five parts of his heritage; German, Greek, Irish, Korean, Native American Indian. His great grandfather was Native American on his mothers side and his great grandmother was Korean. On his fathers side his great grand father was half Irish and Half German, his great grand mother was Greek.

Professor Calchas is basically ambitious and optimistic, and continues to be so even when his hopes are bashed. He is usually on the side of the underdog in society; he will fight for any cause he believes to be just, and is prepared to be rebellious.He balances loyalty with independence.
He has both a profound and widely ranging mind, equipped with foresight and good judgement, and he can be a witty conversationalists.
His personality in the classroom can seem rather strict, but he always has a goal to make things interesting in the classroom. His personality seems to always desire attention when speaking, but he is very modest within his own goals. Many of the older professors at the school disregard anything he says or does, due to most of them believing his teaching methods to be rather profound and unorthodox.
He enjoys teaching and it is a rare occasion to see him outside of his classroom. While in the past the Divination Professor before him would only teach the basics of omens and seeing through things, without any usage of wands. He, however, has gained the idea that even Divinations should hold magic. With the ability to be an Occlumens and sometimes good at being a Legilimens, he teaches the spells and trains his students to not only open their minds using their inner eyes, but to also close them off from others seeing what they have seen or know, as well as opening others minds.
Background: Born in Germany, his father had sent him to Durmstrang to learn the greatest honorable art of the Dark Arts. He had done well within such magics, but he was even better in Transfigurations and Divinations. His mother felt very proud of him, but to his father he was a disappointment. Once he had graduated at the age of seventeen his father wanted him to prove his worth by dueling him. As he may have not had the desire to study the Dark arts, he did still know them very well. His father had attempted two of the Unforgivable Curses, several times, on his son, but quick thinking and being skilled with making up his own spells of defensive and dark magic he defeated his father after dodging the Killing curse and it was the last curse his father had ever cast. His father was sent to Azkaban Prison and had died there. While his mother wanted him to seek out jobs in hoes to better his life, it was not until this year with the experience he held in Divinations and being a registered Seer that Hogwarts had accepted him as a professor, unfortunately it is also the same year his mother had passed away.
He had never actually told his mother, but as much as he may not seem to be he is very much so a homosexual.
Glad to have never heart his mothers heart with such a fact, he has sworn to attempt being at least bisexual, but never truly desiring a relationship with anyone due tot he fear of loving and loosing them.
Family: His family is now all deceased, except he does have a little brother who is in his custody. He had enrolled him into Hogwarts this year and took him out of Durmstrang. His little brothers name is Ezekiel Apollo Calchas.
