Lee Harmon (DubiousDisciple) | 6 comments Read Amazon reviews for similar books, pick those you like best, and contact the reviewers, offering a free book. It definitely works.

Jennifer Kirkwood (Levac) (genuinejenn) You can post looking for reviewers on certain groups. Or search for Book Bloggers that will review on Amazon/Goodreads and their blogs.

Lee Harmon (DubiousDisciple) | 6 comments Rachele, was it you that just asked me about whether Amazon reviewers would be surprised to get an offer of a book? Answer: I stuck to those who had reviewed lots - perhaps hundreds. I also picked those who gave helpful reviews, according to the likes/dislikes. None of them seemed too surprised that I contacted them. This will definitely help get better reviews; whether we admit it or not, we DO rate books higher when we've had contact with the author, rather than just picking it up from a bookstore!

Grammar*Kitten (grammarkitten) I must be one of those rare people that doesn't necessarily rate higher if I've had contact from an author!!

I'd send messages to anyone who has written a review either on Goodreads or a different amazon site (I'm presuming since you mention you only have a few on .com and .fr you have more on .co.uk?) and politely asking them if they'd maybe consider helping you out by posting their review on .com too? I have an amazon.com account specifically for this and I'm always happy to oblige when asked nicely!

Mridupawan Podder (itsfreelancer) | 2 comments try book blogs. Bloggers have a bigger opinion. Also, if you want to go worldwide, try books review blogs from other countries as well. www.alotofpages.com is another option

Stephanie Manning (stephaniesbookshelf) | 10 comments Rachelle, I would be happy to review your book. I have my own website with a blog that I just published today but also do Squidoo and write book review lenses to link my Amazon and Smashwords account to. I just joined Goodreads a few days ago- so glad I did- and I have FB fan page set up. I would be happy to give the book a read if you have a hard copy. Contact me if you would like me to take a look. I would be happy to post to Amazon, my FB page, my Website, blog and a few others places I review at like Goodreads. I will send you a link to my site if you are interested. (Didn't want to post it and be considered spam.)
