Sa-WEET! :)
I did waffle back and forth between the two of them for awhile, but the ending kinda sealed the deal for me with Dorian. He pretty much rocks.

Pfft Chaol isn't really an outcast--and while he's a bodyguard its a far cry from 'warrior'. Dorian won't ever be able to be more then he is. He's a Prince, with a horrid father and a Kingdom falling to pieces. Even if he WANTED to (which he doesn't, he obviously cares about the state of affairs) Dorian couldn't just run off.
Celaena meanwhile is so many things, but she will never be happy being a Queen. Too restrictive, too many things she can and can not do. She likes her pretty things, but she likes her freedom more. Dorian also so much like Sam in certain respects. What he finds winsome and alluring now--that she can kick most people's butts and save herself/him if needs happen to fall that way--will be less charming if they marry and he is mocked continually. He doesn't have the personality to be second best (at worst) or at the very least not the VERY best.
Some of that may change. I think the Princess (someone help me with her name my copy isn't nearby) has the right personality. She understands how to work the politics of a royal court, how to play the game the way she wants without tipping her hand.
Meanwhile Chaol sees Celaena as an equal (mostly, he does have his hang ups about her past, but frankly she's got her hang ups about her past too). He understands the difference between supporting her and trying to do it FOR her (something Sam didn't quite learn and which Dorian really struggles with) and if someone sniggers about his being the 'weaker' of them he'll shrug it off and maybe even admit its true in some respects.
Not that he's perfect. He's judgy (where Dorian is less so), less reckless than Celaena and more credulous. He likes his facts and he likes them plain.
Really neither guy is a perfect fit for her--at least as it stands now. Neither really understands what she's going through and I truly believe neither would be able to hold out if her old mentor comes a-calling. They both harbor too many doubts and insecurities really (much like Sam, who I LOVE to pieces--more than Chaol even) to be anything but a liability to her right now. Chaol second guesses her intentions half the time, Dorian second guesses her abilities (or at least her ability to stay alive) and omg this is freaking long.

And for anyone who still hasn't read this awesome book, I present Lexie's freaking long post as exhibit A on why you should get your butt moving!
ahahaha...yeah it would have gone longer too if I didn't get distracted by an article...I really love this series.

I refuse to acknowledge anything that is less than 5 paragraphs long XD
Dude I'm seriously hoping for a return of the Silent Assassins are you kidding me? Its a bit buggy to me that her first thought wasn't to take Sam and run off to their compound anyhow--it would have been PERFECT (minus the you know lack of material wealth).

Don't forget the prequel stories (which amount to a novel by themselves)! Otherwise you won't meet the Silent Assassins!
^ My guess is either Invisibility or the fourth Nightshade book. I hope it's Invisibility. I DNF the first book in the Nightshade series.
It could be The Inventor's Secret (her steampunk YA novel). Or she could be doing something for the adult titles she's going to have coming out?
Who knows? I will BE THERE!

I hope Cremer is for something not related to the Nightshade books--those books (the prequel and regular series) make me rage SO HARD. I like her writing though! Its so frustrating.

I want Holly Black's book!! :P
Did you all see that the Teen Author Carnival is a go? It will be Wednesday night from 6:30 until 9 at Jefferson Market Library in Greenwich Village. Yay!
Wow. As cool as seeing her would be, I'm sure it will be a ZOO at her line. Although, it may be ticketed, which would make things easier.

Where do you get the tickets at? At the convention center?

SIMONE ELKELES WILL BE AT BEA WITH HER NEWEST BOOK, Wild Cards.
Officially freaking the freak out, people!

Oh man! I met her a couple years back (when she had the cover model for Alexander with her for signing) and she was so really sweet. Lemme go add that to the list...
According to her website, Jamie McGuire will be there. If only she could bring Travis with her....
I'm loving that a bunch of NA authors are going to be there!

Melissa de la Cruz will be at BEA!
I haven't read any of her books (I have a few of the Blue Bloods books - jut haven't gotten to them yet), but I've been eyeing Frozen, which she wrote in conjunction with Michael Johnston. It sounds really good - I hope that's the book she has there!

Probably, I think Blue Blood ended? Maybe?
Liz Norris will be there! But she said she's probably signing paperbacks of Unraveling, not Unbreakable. *sad face*

Ta§chima wrote: "I don't have Unraveling so YEY, but for those who already read it that kind of sucks big time :/ Maybe the other book will be an ARC drop instead?"
She signed finished copies of Unraveling last year there for the Dark Days signing. Unbreakable is coming out April 23, so doubtful I'd be and ARC. Besides, I have any ARC. I wanted a signed finished copy to macth my other signed finished copy. LOL
Regardless, get whatever she signs because it's GOLD. Love her books.

Did they change the cover for the paperback? (if not, Jenn my Jenn nabbed me a signed finished hardcover last year at NEIBA because she loves me)
I do want to fangirl over her tho...I will definitely keep an eye out on her signing!

Rachel Vincent WON'T be at BEA. I know a lot of people thought she would be since she has been almost every year, but since both her books are out before BEA she said there's nothing for her to really promote.
Sad. I loved seeing her at the Harlequin booth.

But now it paves the way for a debut author! So it's not a totally BAD thing.

That's awesome! I'll be seeing her in a couple weeks at a book festival and I'll be sure to ask her to confirm. :)

Also, Gennifer Albin has confirmed on her Facebook page that she'll be signing.

True Hannah, but I like my traditions (at least Maria will be there! That's one tradition I'd cry over if she wasn't at BEA).
Oh I hope Diana is, I didn't get a chance to see her last year and I want to tell her how much I enjoyed For Darkness!

I met Diana last year! Some adorable blonde came up to me the last morning of BEA while I was in line and asked me if I'd take a pic of her in the Reached ball. When I gave her camera back, she said, "Oh, I'm Diana Peterfreund, by the way." My jaw dropped because I'd just finished For Darkness Shows the Stars before I left for BEA.
She was SO sweet. Took a pic with me and gave my friend and I bookmarks of For Darkness. So kind. I'm actually going to see her at a signing in a couple weeks.

Girl, you are my favorite now!! And Lexie, if anything now a days the Prince (aka sweet Dorian) would be the un-obvious choice since so many authors always go for the warrior and/or outcast.
