Jalyn (jalynnie) You should! Such a good book! :)

Last year I started off with a book that I didn't end up liking and I felt like it set the tone for the whole year. I've never read so many books in a year that I either flat out didn't like or felt "meh" about. I'm hoping that starting with a good book will mean it'll be a good reading year. *Fingers crossed* :D

message 58: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments lol . . . You are getting more superstitious like me too :) I believe a good start will lead to a good year :)
I'll fine time to read the book soon if possible.

I still need to finish off the first book in the series. Ironically I had an advanced reading copy of the first book before the official book came out so I have had a copy of the book for pretty much 10 years now and never finished it. I even met the author.

V x (xsweetv) | 2 comments First book for 2013 was 'mystic city' I'm really enjoying it but I'm not finishing it completely till the date to the second book is closer (:

message 81: by Niña (new)

Niña (marineenah) First book for 2013 was DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver.
The book is a good start! Then can't wait to read Pandemonium and Requiem!

message 82: by Gabs (new)

Gabs Oh gosh, I read Flotsam by Stephanie Skeem unfortunately. It was terrible. VERY terrible.

message 83: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) I usually just pick up whatever is at hand for the new year. If I got a new book for Christmas that I haven't read before, I choose that one.

For 2013, though, my first read was Jepp, Who Defied the Stars by Katherine Marsh Which I actually enjoyed rather a lot.

Aww... so sorry to hear. It's a huge disappointment to start a new year with a crappy book.
