Sara | 1500 comments I liked Safe Haven. It had a surprise I wasn't expecting since I haven't read the book. Rented and watched Perks of Being a Wallflower which was pretty good. Still need to read it to.

It is midnight and I am going to read:)

Kathleen | 81 comments It's about 1am where I am and I finally went to my first book signing earlier today for none other than Cassandra Clare! :). 3 hour wait for 30 seconds of her time, but got some free stuff as well so that was nice. A little bummed that there was no message but I understand because there were so many people there. I told her to please don't stop writing and she laughed and said she was going to drop everything right now and go sailing! lol.

Sara | 1500 comments I have yet to start TID series. I do own the first 2 books that I bought for my son. Maybe next month. It is almost noon here and I am going to do my grocery shopping soon, and then read read read. Woke up today to a snow storm. So crazy because a few days ago my kids were wearing shorts.

E.D. Brady (edbrady) | 14 comments Sara, where are you? Here in NC it is unbelievably cold for this time of year. My kids were wearing shorts last weekend. This morning when they left for school it was 26 degrees. Crazy weather. btw, I'm just hanging out on goodreads, killing time until I have to pick up my daughter from the school bus.

I am in UT. Sounds like the same weather. We got up in the 50s and low 60s and then Thursday woke up to a little snow and a little more snow today. It was the 20s but I think it is about 32F now. I don't mind more snow, it just sucks when it gave us the hope of warmer weather.

I know what you mean. We even had some spring flowers starting to blume, now they're all dead. And our friendly weatherman has just informed us that this cold front will be sticking around for the next week or so, ugh!! Not that I mind the cold, either, it's just here in the south, we're used to early springs.

It's 5:24 PM here, so what 3:24 for you? Hope you have some great plans for the weekend. Mine? not so great. My 10 yr old daughter is having a sleep over for the Children's choice awards (7 10 and 11 year old).

I HATE sleepovers! My kids are always asking for them, and I get out of them as often as possible. Especially the girl ones. I have a million books to finish for reviews that that is what I want to do. In reality I will probably be cleaning and chasing kids. We do not have spring break for another week, even though some people have there's this coming week.

I hate sleepovers also, but I kind of promised this one ages ago. The noise level will be insane. My kids have spring break next week also. I hope you get alot of quiet time to read.

I haven't read either one yet. I bought City of Bones a few years ago and never got into it, and then my son wanted to read them and I ended up buying them all for him. So now we own all but Clockwork Princess. I have been promising to start Clockwork Angel forever.

Yes! I finished it late last night anyway. But I got lucky and got the house to myself because all my kids went to baseball practice with my husband. But wouldn't you know it- they came home in the middle of the big ending climax! So I had to stop in the middle of the best part until they all went to bed:)

Sorry, I've been MIA for the past few days, what with spring break and all. Glad you got to finish your book. One positive to this week is not having to get up at 6:00 am every morning.

message 149: by Anika (new)

Anika (teddybear1) | 21 comments It's 4:51pm (Sat) I've been chillin all day still in Pj's it is cold outside. I finished the book I have been reading all week and about to start book 2 in the series. I see that there's a link/chat about Amazon taking over/buying Goodreads. I don't know how I feel about that. I am a kindle lover, but I buy books based on the reviews here. I hope it isn't true but if it is I hope if any changes it for the better.

Anyways, yesterday was Good Friday so I stuff myself with the customary fish cakes and hot cross buns but no kite flying for me. Today, had more fish cakes but I'm planning to take my niece for KFC dinner later. Just updating my reading status then plan to try and watch a new release free movie online or take nap watching it.
