I just read Neuronmancer a couple of months ago. What did you think of it? And how is The Silmarillion? I keep waffling on whether or not to read it.

Hi Mackenzie,
This was my second time through with Neuromancer (thouugh the first time was so long ago I barely remembered it) and I enjoyed it. What did you think?
The Silmarillion I enjoyed a lot but it's not a really a novel. Its structured more like a history text so depending on how much you like Lord of the Rings will determine how much you would enjoy it.
It was a very interesting read with some pretty cool ideas. It was weird to think of how far along we've come with technology and how the cyber stuff is not necessarily that far removed from some of what we are capable of now, though I am not sure if humanity will ever reach those levels of bio-engineering.

Exactly!

Well... I guess I don't need to read this book. I know what happens at the end. lol

Haha! I saw it described somewhere (maybe here on Goodreads) as The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for the Horror Genre and that is a pretty good description.

Not a fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide, Mackenzie?

Well, I enjoyed the first book(bearing the name), but they went downhill for me, until the last couple were read out of stubbornness. Really, it was not so much that they were bad as people talked them up so much that I, unconsciously, had really high expectations.

That's pretty much the same experience I had with them. John Dies at the End held up better for me though.

*chants* Review, review, review!"
I had posted one earlier and now I'm seeing that it didn't save (more than likely user error here.) I'm really not sure how to rate the novel. I liked it and Isaac Marion can certainly write, but I'm not the biggest fan of Zombie novels and I tend to not read romance novels either.
I did enjoy this though. Just can't decide how many stars to give it yet. Hopefully after I've rested up from digging out from 30+ inches of snow I'll have the energy to redo the review I'd written earlier.

I sort of feel like I'm cheating adding this one to the list but it's such a fantastic love letter to NYC that I'm going to count it.
