pg 48
"I wish I had power, just power enough to avert my eyes. Please, don't show me babies... Where does this dream come from? He hasn't done it yet. So the dream must be about what Tod will eventually do."
pg 54 "In the dream, the baby wields incredible power. It has the power, the ultimate power of life and death over its parents."
pg 55 "In here, the baby is not a weapon. In here the baby is like a bomb."
-The narrator is beginning to see more of what's inside Tod's mind and what his past may lead to. His dreams always indicate that a baby is present which means that babies are symbolic in this novel and will be relevant later on.

An image that would describe this would be an armed baby in a warzone like WWII to represent the fact that the baby is dangerous in a danger filled area.

Haiku:
A baby, I see
With what reason does it need
To be in my dreams
