I'm trying to title my latest novella. Do either of these titles grab you--Demons in the Big Easy or Demon Gate? Which would make you most want to pick it up?

Demon Gate

Between just the two? Demon Gate. But I guess it depends on the tone and content of the book. If it's a straight up horror novel, the Demon Gate. If it's more of an urban horror fantasy with wit and sexiness in it (ala Sookie Stackhouse series), then "Demons in the Big Easy" might be more in keeping with the rhythm and flavor of the work.

I agree, with Anthony's response. Demon Gate grabs me, but if you are going for something light and witty, I like Demons in the Big Easy. Need a little bit more info.

Actually, I think Demon Gate is quite boring, to be honest. Demons in the Big Easy sound much stranger and more appealing; I would read it just to satisfy my curiosity as to what the hell is meant by "the Big Easy".

Yep, set in New Orleans.

Work Tchopitoulas (did I spell it right?) into the title and you'll get an automatic group of readers in NOLA... as long as your character likes Abita beer.
