LynnB The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbø by Jo Nesbø

Bookmarks gave this book 4 stars and I agree. It's a very good crime novel set in Oslo, Norway; also, it's part of a series (book #1 in English is The Redbreast). The characters and writing are well done. The main character has an unfortunate name in English, Harry Hole, but pronounced in Norwegian it's not so distracting.

LynnB OK - so I'm going to revisit my comments on this book. I still stand by the 4 stars for the overall story, but honestly, there were some places that were just too gruesome/disgusting for my sensibilities. Fortunately, they were just small sections here and there, but it still turned my stomach at times. Just wanted to let people know in case they were thinking of reading this particular book.

Victoria (vicki_c) I really have been enjoying this whole series, but I agree, it can be gruesome at times.
