Makes you woonder if there is also a limit on the number of friendship requests you can respond to|accept in a day. We must practice safe friendship after all.
When I originally signed up, I got friend requests from strangers. The thing that caught my eye was that these people had more friends than books. That was a turnoff, especially the guy whose list of friends was almost exclusively women and he only had one a handful of books listed although he'd been a member for quite a while.
I also think it is a spam deterrent. In the beginning I got a lot of friend requests too, but I soon realized it was mainly from 2 sources. People from groups I belonged to and Goodread authors trying to drum up readers.
Sorry, you have reached our daily limit for the number of friend requests. Please try again later.
Daily limit? On friends?? What's up with that? :-(
I guess I have to adapt to "the goodreads way".
