You start a statement "I wish.." then the next person posts a reason why that was a terrible idea.

Ex:

I wish I had a million dollars

reply post:
then you'd have to pay half in tax, people ask you to help pay their mortgage on a house they couldn't afford to begin with and you'd probably be left with enough to get a bottle of aspirin for your tension headache.

That example is confusing to me because if I had a million even if the government took half and I helped people I cared about with bills and was only left in the long run say 100k.. shit I would still be a happy person! lol

I wish I don't have to go to work.

I wish I had perfect eyesight again.

No work = no/less money, less social interactions, not to mention medical insurance...

I really can't see a downside to this wish, since, I'm suffering from a deteriorating eyesight myself, but here goes.

I wish I can eat as much as I can without gaining weight.

It is not always easy to find a dowside, but fun to try =D

Sitting at home gets boring fast, trust me. Even if you hate your job. Not being able to work is no "greener grass."

Then you'd turn into an insane hermit talking to your shadows. Among other "eccentricities".

then you might be a crime victim and your fancy car stolen..

Then you'd have to clean it, and drain it... and you'd have neighborhood kids sneaking into your backyard.

If you were ethereal, you'd have to wear gauzy, diaphanous clothes all the time and try to make like a graceful elf. Winter in Birmingham in chiffon, big no. Polarfleece snuggliness first, am I right? Plus, remember Galadriel in LOTR? That backlit tacky scene where she was all "And I shall be a dark lord and mightiest of them all!!"? With great power comes great responsibility not to look like a nong. Who wants that? Oy, better you should stay home and have the freedom to wear trackpants and eat cupcakes and snore in bed. Call me an elf hater, it's just what I think.

Then...hmm...I got nothing lol. I never read Harry Potter. Wait. Isn't he like a wizard? Ok. So he'd cast an anti-popularity spell on you and he'd end up with all your friends.

But lack of sleep will make you cranky and totaly difficult to live with.

but then the anticipation of your birthday would be over and you'd have a stomachache from too much cake and ice cream.

but then you might get into a wreck.

Then you would have to pay the maid and he/she mught steal all your valuables to pay for his/her bills.

I wish I was athletic.

then you will always be sweaty and has bruises due to playing sports.

I wish I have more self-discipline.
