Finally finished Once Bitten. NOT jumping into #2. I need a break from Alexa's dramas. Oh I dislike love triangles. Bleh!

Brawn, New Species series was the best in the set so far. I'm moving onto Wrath the next book because Edge of Dawns release date must of been moved, darn it I got so excited when my calendar reminder went off!

Regina, I loved the audio for How to Flirt. Such a fun listen.

Finished a couple shorties & . Both of which would have been a lot better if they'd been made into a novel vs. novella. 2.5-3★ each.

I'll read next to see how I like Shawntelle's Coveted series. Has anyone read those books yet? I have book #1 and 0.5 is a freebie.

Me too. I'm not a love triangle fan. Why are they used so often, especially in YA?

As to Shantelle's series, I've just got #1 and didn't realise there was a prequel. Off to investigate :D

YA is FULL of the triangles. I knew of few girls/boys in my school that two or more beaus. Dunno the reason(s). But, definitely know I'm not a fan of them in books.

I've read the whole series and it is pretty good. I think I gave both books 4 stars but I liked the first one the best. Just an FYI, they have a bit of a love triangle but it seems to be resolved at the end of the second book.

So I started last night and finished this morning at predawn and I loved it. it was so good. Great characters. Great build.

I agree, there was much potential in this story...why not a full book?

I just finished the audio of -- the audio was so much fun! Now I am sorry that I cancelled my audible membership as audible seems to be the only place to get the audio version of #2.

I think that's why I don't like love triangles. They are so unrealistic. Seriously, how often does that happen in real life? And yes, I know most of the books I read have magic, vampires, fae, and werewolves in them, but I need at least some realism in there. :)

NightDrake would have been SO much better, IMO, if she'd worked it into a series starter. Standing alone and as short as it is ... fail for me.

LOL I know exactly what you mean, Jean! I have NO problem with immortal-what-evers, but throw in a 15-16 year old who has 2+ drop-dead, gorgeous (always) guys after her and I can't stand it.

Just finished Wrath, New Species 6. It wasn't my favorite from the series but it was a good read, moving onto Tiger book 7.

Finished and enjoyed it, just not enough to jump immediately into book #1. I do plan to read it soon though. Natalya's got one wicked OCDemon.

Also read , which was heavy on the sex (you'll never hear me complain about that) and speedy ILUs, but decent. Too bad it's not a series short.

Kinda in a rut on what to read. Glad FL is starting up soon. Hoping it'll resuscitate my reading mojo.

Tiger, book 7 was really good I'm onto book 8 almost caught up in the series then ill have my usual withdrawals awaiting the next book in the series and a hard time picking something new I'm torn between Warm Bodies and the Casters series

Steph, I found that the prequels to Drake's Asylum series was not as polished as book 1. In other words, the prequels are nice because they set the supporting characters up but they have an unfinished quality to them.

Done with . It may not be Kate Daniels brand of awesome but it sure was the best book of the Edge series.

Thanks, that's good to know. I enjoyed it fine. I'm definitely going to read the other prequel and book 1. I really liked Drake's Dark Days series, so I'm excited to read about this new world she's created w/this series. I like that there are all sorts of supernaturals in it. :D

Well, I have a lot to read right now apparently. I am currently reading as well as and I am going to try and re-read in anticipation for the movie (I only got thru about 100 pages the last time I attempted to read it)...

There are just wayyyyy too many books for me to read right now and I have a whole pile of ARC's and books I have purchased that I can't even get to! How do ya'll keep up!? lol
