OK, to answer the question of the thread, this is what I'm reading:

So far I'm liking all of them. I was having a hard time decided which one to read first, but I've had to just pick one and keep going with it or I feel like I'm getting nowhere. So many great books out there that most people will never get a chance to see. I love that self-published and other indie authors are so eager to help each other out on this site. And there are many "popular" books that are incredible too, so it's hard to narrow it down. Sounds like many who have commented on this thread are reading some great books!

I just got this book on reserve at the library. Very excited to read it!!

And I'm currently reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini and The Mirror Crack'd from side to side by Agatha Christie.

I am currently in the middle of a Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan, thoroughly enjoying his books.

how's the series? interesting? does it have humor?

I really enjoyed this one, too, Melissa. I dove right into The Twelve after finishing it.

I've just recently finished Shades of Earth, the final installment from the Across the Universe Series by Beth Revis, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves dystopian, sci-fi, and/or mystery novels.
I'm currently reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner and I'm already hooked.

I don't know what I think yet, though...
I will read Across the Universe series, thanks ofr the recommendation!

You should try Dawn of the Knight if you have a Kindle

Awesome book!!!!

Recommend: Marked
That's the first in the House of Night series! It gets a lot of bad reviews but I thought it was great.

I really liked Safe Haven. I'm wondering if the movie did it justice?

During my lunch breaks at work, I'm reading The Gift of Rain.
I'm enjoying both of these books. One is a roller coaster of a ride, while the other is rather meditative and peaceful. Good combo.
I'm also listening to an audio version of Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex while on the treadmill. It's surprisingly fitting and entertaining.

thanks for your opinion, i think i will give it a second chance. I read the preface and the first chapter and I thought it was complete nonsense. His comments about viruses and bioweapons made no sense at all... but I'll try again :P

hahahahaha this series is ridiculous! She spends the first 2 and a half books being a complete slutshamer, and then she bangs the hell out of that poet, and turns into super-slut. Not that that's bad (hell, i would if i was her and surrounded by hot guys) but way to be a hypocrite.

I also just read

And I just started

I read all of the LOTRs and loved them, but you said you're also reading an I am Number Four book. Are they a series?

Both of those books are really good! The House of Night Series is amazing. Do you know when the next Lunar series is coming out? I can't wait for it!

Oh Lord, I don't wanna be a downer, but after the first book, it's just downhill from there. I couldn't even finish Beautiful Chaos.

Have you read the Gemma Doyle series? Its also by Libba Bray and its really good.

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, Book 2) by Marissa Meyer is out 7 Feb 2013

City of Bones is really awesome, and is the rest of the series. I suggest you move on from Beautiful Creatures. I liked the first book a lot, and if you get into that one, I think you'll like it, but it basically goes downhill from there throughout the series.
