I really liked Nineteen Minutes. I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

message 2459: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veraj121) So far, its good. Its emotional. And one can be conflicted. Whose fault is it? The parents, the children...the community? Or is it no one's fault? Hmm.

Michelle {Book Hangovers} (bookhangoverz) I'm currently reading The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker and I'd have to say that there's only been a few times where a book can captivate me within the first couple pages and this one has done so. Really really good so far

Karen Currently reading Ancillary Justice. It's very absorbing, and although I had to work to wrap my head around a couple things I am really enjoying it and would recommend if you like science fiction.

I'm always stuck under a pile! However I loved Cloud Atlas so I would say that if only for that book it's worth it. My current pile includes
Ancillary Justice, Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us and Just One Day. The real drama is in the "want to read" pile though :)

message 2467: by Jonnah (new)

Jonnah (jonnigirl96) | 2 comments Heyo People! New to the group! But by the looks of the topics I think I know of a book you would really love!! It is called Ions Echo by J.Matthew and was just released last night! As of right this minute it is only available on Amazon.com as an eBook.
It is a Dystopian/Post-apocalyptic Sci-fi thriller. It has romance, plot twists, awesome and tragic characters, and it is really well written!
One more huge plus is that the story really keeps moving forward! It is not the least bit slow! :D

Let me know what you guys think if you read it!

message 2500: by Kristin (last edited Feb 04, 2014 09:32AM) (new)

Kristin City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, Book Two of the Mortal Instruments series. Book 1 was ok, not my favorite, but decent. A friend keeps loaning them to me so I'm hoping it improves as I am having a slow start to it.

I also started As I Lay Dying, which is a tediously slow read and Everything Is Illuminated, which I think will be amazing but requires more focus and a quiet setting due to the Russian-English accent use (not sure how to describe that).
