Haha, I'm definitely a lover of the classics but I like to balance it out with a variety of genres & current books! :)""
Me too! I thought I was the only weirdo that mixed classics with other diverse genres and eras. My nightstand is currently holding beatnik Kerouac, horror from Stephen King, classic Faulkner, and more current Jonathan Safran Foer.

I'm reading it too! For my Feb. group read! I love Gaiman's writing! He's definitely one of my favorite authors! I've only begun and it's getting really interesting :)

I love The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-TIme. I read it back in 2009 coz my friend recommended it to me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I tried to read it but it was too slow for me. I liked the movie better:)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is really good but I think the movie is better:) That and Life of Pi is like the only books where I think the movies are better. They just seemed to give the characters more life in the movie. The whole Mortal Instruments series is really good! :) I really wanna read the Clockwork series.

I recently (fairly recently) finished Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and it was AMAZINGGGG!!! So is Dreamland! :) Anything by John Green, such as The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska is REALLY good. Anyone have any books that are similar to The Fault In Our Stars?

It's good but harder to get into than [book:The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time|1618]. Haven't been giving The Handmaid's Tale the attention it deserves.

I read #1 and my friend just gave me 2-6

OOH! The Mortal Instruments is REALLY good. I also didn't wanna read it because it was a long series and the sixth book comes out soon so i was just like eh...but it's really, really good. In my opinion, though, the movie is terrible compared to the book! :)

@Katie.g Thanks! Do you think you can recommend other books like MBY? :)

I was already prepared for the ending, but I still couldn't help the tears!

I just got Paper Towns from John Green. I didn't start it yet, I haven't read any from him yet

Stacy don't feel bad. I haven't read anything by him either! I have never been big on contemporary/realistic fiction, but I wouldn't mind checking some of his stuff out. I really want to read

Done reading it. Thanks flr the rec though! :)

Oh!!! I wanna read that book! But I can't find it!

OMG my entertainment Weekly mag ripped apart that movie. Don't read the reviews if you want to see it. Form your own opinion

No matter how badly I would like to read Falling Kingdoms sequel, Rebel Spring, I decided to wait til it gets closer to book 3's release in Dec. SOooooo....I'm going to start The Grisha Trilogy, beginning with book 1,

I much preferred the Beautiful Creatures series to the Mortal Instruments so far. I'm about a quarter of the way through City of Ashes.
