Boxall's 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die discussion

Hi Readers!
I would like postings of book titles, authors, and number of pages (only if available) of books on the list with 1001 pages or more of story text, not counting footnote, glossary or other pages. This is so I and others can make a list of the bigger books so that we can read them as they go and not save them for last. I will add some too.

Here are 3 books of at least 1001 pages on the list:
A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth at 1349 pages,
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy at 1110 pages, and
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien at 1359 pages. I have read the last of the three so far.

I heard Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong is 1360 pages long (one more than The Lord of the Rings, incidentally).

Hi Emma, Yes I have but I'm looking exclusively for the very long books of 1001+ pages. Thanks!

Of the ones I've read lately a few were long: Don Quixote has 1072 pages, Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson has 1168, Count of Monte Cristo has 1243 (unabridged, obviously)

Search for Lost Time, the 7-book epic by Marcel Proust, formerly titled Remembrance of Things Past, certainly qualifies.

Anthony Trollope has 2 sets of 6 books, the Pallisters and the Barchester series, each total more than 1001 pages.

the 7-book Narnia Chronicles.

A Dance to the Music of Time by Anthony Powell has to be one of, if not the longest book on the list. 3,000+ pages.

I am reading The Water Margins (also known as The Outlaws of the Marsh). It is 1,540 pages long.
