That one was one of the great ones (I rated it five stars), if not THE greatest one (it's also the only one I of his I put on my Favorites shelf). I'm also fond of the The Case of the Crooked Candle and The Case of the Demure Defendant.

I'm doing that right now, too. I've read most of them at one point or another in my life, but it's so much fun (going through in order) and stumbling on a "new" one! I'm currently on the Black-Eyed Blonde.
Just finished "The Case of the Ice Cold Hands." The legal trick that floored Hamilton Burger also floored me in this one.

I just finished The Case of the Phantom Fortune, so the end is in sight! Only 12 more to go!

I started collecting them in 1990, and completed my collection last year, so it took me 23 years to find them all.
I've read several more since July, but forgot to comment on them here. The last one I read was The Case of the Queenly Contestant, so I am getting closer to reading them all (I am reading them in order of publication). I read that one originally back in 1994, and I find that I rated it the same this year as I did 20 years ago. Perry was faced with a liar for a client in this one, and the resolution of the case was quite interesting.

This is a good list, fairly complete and includes not just the Perry Masons, but ESG's other works too.
We are reading them in their correct order too. Please feel free to join in or discuss or add the comments under each book.

My problem exactly. Ebooks do not give the same satisfaction somehow...

True. I got most of mine secondhand from old book stores. Most are in quite a depleted condition; yellowed pages, cover pages that I had to tape to prevent it from falling apart. But then reading old books with yellowed pages has a charm of its own...

Yeah... they do.. unless they are so old and dusty that your palms start itching! I inherited some of my Perry Masons.

I hope you find a copy and get to read that one.

AA Fair books are good as well, I think they have a little more if a 'hard-boiled' feel but the lead character is very clever.
If you haven't read any of The D.A. ... series, those are good as well.
Awesome! I'll try them. I did finish the last Perry Mason book this week, so I can officially say I've read them all!

I've started getting the A.A. Fair books.
did you see the previously unpublished "The Knife Slipped"?

I am in the middle of #47; read the series in order.

I just started reading the books. Trying to read in order and I am on # 8.

Hi Vincent. How can you get your hands on them all to read? I read them on Kindle and I find there are several titles that don't seem to be available there, e.g. Lucky Legs, Careless Kitten, Black-eyed blonde and fan Dancer's horse. Regards, Neil
Years of looking for them in used bookstores was how I found them all. I started buying them back in 1990, and many were being reissued at the time, but not all of them. Used bookstores helped me to find the missing volumes.

Hi Vincent. Would you think of selling some or all of yours now that you've read them.
I'd like to keep the complete collection, but I have a few extras I could part with. I'll post a list of what books I have double copies of when I get home from work later.
Gotta read just 4 more Perry Masons and I have read them all! :) For those who really wish to read them (for free too), I am giving a link here. I downloaded quite a few books from this link. You can read it on your device. Happy reading!

Are you reading the A. A. Fair series too? I read one of the books but I didn't find it as interesting as the Mason Series.
