Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 1. The Hobbit by J R R Tolkein

2. Paradigm Shift, Part Three: Emergence by Dirk Tiede

The Hobbit is a reread (from so long ago it might as well be new) and the graphic novel is the last in a series started last year. Both well worth the read.

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 3. Lost Light (Harry Bosch, #9) by Michael Connelly by Michael Connelly

A rather disappointing Harry Bosch novel, full review at the link

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 4. Blue Exorcist, Vol. 8 by Kazue Kato by Kazue Kato

I'm loving this manga series. This one was particularly good (full review at the link)

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 5. Stamp of Fate by Nessa L. Warin by Nessa L. Warin

6. Rapunzel's Revenge (Rapunzel's Revenge, #1) by Shannon Hale by Shannon Hale

Stamp was a pretty good m/m erotic mystery/urban fantasy and Rapunzel was a fun retelling of the fairy tale using girl power rather than waiting on Prince Charming.

8. Sailors of Stonehenge by Manuel Vega by Manuel Vega

9. Thieftaker (Thieftaker Chronicles, #1) by D.B. Jackson by D. B. Jackson

I'm losing interesting in Bride of the Water god. Sailors was an interesting book on outsider archaeology and Thieftaker is one of the better things I've read in a long while. Full reviews at the hyperlinks

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 10. Angel Para Bellum Vol. 1 by Nozomu Tamaki by Nozomu Tamaki & Kent Minami

It's very adult manga, interesting but a bit shaky

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 11. Dogs Bullets & Carnage, Volume 7 by Shirow Miwa by Shirow Miaw

12. Cold Days (The Dresden Files, #14) by Jim Butcher by Jim Butcher

a wee bit too much action and not enough plot in this volume of Dogs. Cold Days goes a long way to redeem the Dresden Files after the last one. Loved it.

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 13. The Last Dragon by Jane Yolen by Jane Yolen & Rebecca Guay

a lovely graphic novel with a great heroine

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments 14. Missing Persons (Alan Gregory, #13) by Stephen White by Stephen White

a so so mystery with a disappointing ending.

--just got down the 3rd/final book (so far) in the series and absolutely loved them. I agree "the kindom" (the 2nd book) was a little weak...but that could be that i love John Devlin :)

message 13: by Cornerofmadness (new)

Cornerofmadness | 830 comments Funny one of my friends just told me she liked #2 best because she didn't like Devlin. I DO like him. I'll probably get #3 from the library though instead of buying it.
