I've now visited Algeria via The Last Summer of Reason by Tahar Djaout

Just visited China with Rickshaw Boy by Lao She. A good book with a message that is very relevant in the world of increasing economic disparity we live in today.

Visited Ireland with The Story of Lucy Gault by William Trevor. Such a beautiful novel.

Visited Bangladesh with The Good Muslim by Tahmima Anam. This book has been on my to-read shelf (both virtual and physical) for 3 years, and I'm so glad to have finally gotten to it!

Visited Bosnia with The Book of My Lives by Aleksandar Hemon. Hemon is an excellent writer, and these essays about his life are very compelling.

Visited Spain with Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. I read a new-ish translation by Edith Grossman - loved the book!

Visited Sierra Leone with The Memory of Love by Aminatta Forna. This was enjoyable both for its story and its insight.
