Diane U (djuseless) I have some sad news to share. Since we started up the group reads again back in June 2012, there has not been much participation except for December. The average number of nominations has been 3 per month. I have decided to end group reads for now. For the month of February, I was the only one who posted a nomination.

Sorry Diane. I didn't nominate anything for February because the category was one that didn't interest me. Again, my apologies.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I agree, the category was not one I had much interest in. I prefer longer novels than reading an anthology of short stories. Unfortunately, this has been true of many of the group reads that have been suggested. The "themes" have been too limiting for me to be able to suggest anything, because I don't read by specific publisher or enjoy reading romantic suspense novels, which have been some of the group reads in the past since I joined the group. Perhaps if we just did a generic "let's nominate any Christian Romance book", it might generate more interest in the group reads. I hate to see them leave, since I have been in some enjoyable ones in the past both in this group and in the Fans of Amish Romance group.

Diane U (djuseless) Okay, I can see your point Elizabeth and Victoria. Why don't we do what is done in Fans of Amish Fiction group read. Let's nominate any Christian Romance book but you cannot nominate an author that has been a group read for 6 the past months!

I'll make a new post and keep the nominations open until 1/25.

Sounds good. I'm at lunch right now & on my phone but I'll take a look tonight and nominate something.
