Do the folks interested in certain genres break off into subgroups? Example: I'm not interested in Science Fiction or Horror. Is there a book each month for each genre?

Alana (alanasbooks) | 730 comments We have been going through a list of genres that we repeat every year, but we vote on which genre to go with every month. Then we nominate books to read based on that genre and vote on our selection for the month. Currently, the vote went to action/western, and the poll is up to vote on your choice of the nominees.

I don't care for horror either, but you would be surprised at the selection that is out there that technically falls under that category. The Canterville Ghost that we read recently, for example, falls under that heading, but it's a short story and more humorous than scary. So, you may still find a choice that you would like to read. But even one you like doesn't get chosen, you can always skip that month or read something else, we just won't have a group thread for it. None of the books are required of course, so you may just have a month to catch up on other things.

Kressel Housman I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but is the group read of The Monuments Men on right now?

Yes, yes, I am truly sorry, I was very busy last few weeks. The threads are now open.
