Michael This is the second in book in the Riyria Chronicles, which gives us a glimpse into the early days of Royce and Hadrian. I'm very protective of this franchise and don't want to "overstay" my welcome. So if you read this book, please weigh in with whether you would like to see more in this vein, or if you have had enough Royce and Hadrian and you would like me to "move on" to something else.

Thanks for the feedback.

Maryesther I love Hadrian and Royce, I could always read more of them!

Michael Great Maryesther - let's hope you still feel that way after reading these two.

Beth I love Hadrian and Royce. My friend left for Israel the other day - 10 hour plane ride so I bought her Theft of Swords. She emailed me thanking me so much for the book and is really enjoying it. I'm jealous she gets to read it. I'm looking forward to more books.

Michael Nice Beth - thanks for spreading the word!

Felix More please!
Royce with his time spent with the wolves? Hadrian war mongering abroad?

Michael Read all eight of the Riyria books and liked every one. I'd be happy to read eight more. Keep them coming good sir. Thanks for two of the most memorable characters ever.

Elizabeth More please!

Johnathan I have read all the books and would very much like to read more Royce and Hadrian. Whether it is before the events of Revelations or after. I would really like to read about them when they were on their own. How Royce decimates the Black Diamonds and how Hadrian survived in the jungles with the barbarians.

Christomir Rackov Oh, I definitely want more Royce and Hadrian! Best pair of fantasy characters ever. ^_^

But, unlike Johnathan, I don't fancy either of them on their own. IMHO they are perfect only when together. So I guess that leaves room for only 1 or 2 more novels, somewhere in between the Chronicles and the Revelations.

I've read all of the Riyria books (a couple of times, actually) and would love more. Royce and Hadrian's younger days, perhaps, as someone else mentioned. I'd like to see more of Royce and Gwen's relationship -- that's the romantic in me talking. But, really, the pair of them building their partnership is what it's all about.

I'm a big fan of all things Riyria and I would be sad to see them go. To me Royce and Hadrian are reminiscent of Spenser and Hawk, (another two of my favorite characters from a completely different genre)and I think what separates them from other characters is the dynamic within their relationshiop. I think it would be interesting to see how we went from an adversarial relationship, to one of respect to the close bond and implicit trust they share when we first met them in the other series.
I'm enjoying watching their relationship develop!

Yeah, as I said on another thread, that is mainly what I expect from the possible 1 or 2 more Chronicles novels - these two probably need to save each other's asses a few more times, until they form that REAL close bond...

Sara I certainly vote for more Riyria.

Boris I'd like to see more! I think some stand alone books about Royce and Hadrian's thieving escapades would be great.

Stand alone books would be easy for the reader to pick up and the author to put down.

I'd also like to read about their past lives before the crew teamed up. I am not a big fan of monster, epic sagas but maybe separate duologies or trilogies about their lives in the Black Diamond and the jungles would be interesting, and I can imagine, a whole lot of fun. There's never enough jungles in fantasy these days!

Mary Just managed to get "The Crown Tower" and fell right in, just like I did with the others. So enjoyable and such a pleasant journey with these characters. Either before or after the other books, your writing style is so comfortable and delicious, I can read anything you write!

Martin Jovanovski I read all of them .. The Crown Tower is one of the best novels i have read, and there was some fierce competition from other great authors.

I think that there is a space for one more novel in the chronicles and 5-6 short stories. Too many prequels (novels) can give you a feeling that Hadrian and Royce have done more before the events in the main series and that will be weird. But you can write prequel short stories as many as you want.

Also, I think that a sequel some 30 years in the future can be excellent, with a developed world with a few problems, where our duo comes back together to deal with them. They are grumpy and old, wise but 'saw it all' kind of attitude. Think about it :)

That's my honest opinion. But I would read anything you wrote from now on ...

Danica I've loved all your books. I'd read anything Ryria. I'd like to read something about their descendents. Maybe learn more about Royce and Hadrian in that way.
Thanks for writing these books!

Franziska I could never have enough of Royce and Hadrian! I'd love to read more about them! I'd prefer more prequels as opposed to sequels, I think, because I just love how Revelations ends and I think a sequel might spoil it a bit. But more prequels would be very much appreciated!

Olivia Honestly, I'm selfishly annoyed that there are only 2 "chronicles" books rather than a trilogy. I'm also sad because I've just started the 2nd and after that I have no more Royce or Hadrian to spend time with (read the rest). Prequel, sequel, I don't care - let me read more. :)

Jo Hello, seems im abit late to this party. I loved Revelations and the chronicles. I can honestly say if you were to write more bout Royce or Hadrian, it would be the best news ive heard all year! Id love to see how they are doing after Revelations, or another chronicle of a past adventure.

infael More please!!!

Mihaela Gaspar I read all your books, they are amazing, and there is some serious competition out there. I would love to read some more, maybe some of Royce's adventures in Erivan? past adventures will also be welcome, anything with Hadrian and Royce. Thanks for writing the books!

Carol Just finished the whole series before the end of last year and I personally would LOVE some more of Royce and Hadrian (and possibly Gwen)!!

Michael Hey all,
I'm so glad you are wanting more...and my wish is your command. I'm pleased to announce the third Riyria Chronicle coming November 2015! Here's some details on The Death of Dulgath, feel free to add it to your shelves. The title may change before release but I'm writing it now and it's coming out really well!

Three times they tried to kill her. Then they hired a professional. She hired Riyria.

When the last member of the oldest noble family in Avryn is targeted for assassination, Riyria is hired to foil the plot. Three years have past since the war-weary mercenary Hadrian and a cynical ex-assassin Royce joined forces to start life as thieves-for-hire. Things have gone well enough until they receive the odd assignment to prevent a murder. Now they must venture into a forgotten corner of southern Avryn—a place that predates the empire. As usual, challenges abound as they try to anticipate the moves of an unknown assassin before it’s too late. But that's not their only problem as The Countess of Dulgath hides a dark secret she's determined to remain hidden. Then there's the little matter about Riyria's new employer...the Nyphron Church.
