Hello, I read this book years ago, likely about ten years ago. I know the book was a historical romance, and I know there were fairies in the story. I remember one of the fairies fell into a mug of ale and that the fairies were tricksters. I went on to read more of the author's books, but I cannot remember her name and I wish to reread them. I'd appreciate any help you can give me on figuring this out.

It wasn't Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susannah Clarke maybe? Its sort of an alternate history of Europe where faeries play a fairly significant role. Don't recall a faerie falling into ale bit...but they do cause a lot of trouble throughout.
No, Anthony, I've never heard of that book so that can't be it. I know it was medieval and likely placed in Ireland. I remember the fairies brought levity to the story. Unfortunately I read these stories before I began keeping track of my books on Goodreads. At least this won't happen again. :)
I found it. The series is by Claire Delacroix. Yea!!
