The night was windy as Lilah made haste, scrambling over branches and roots.
"Lilah!" A flash of purple erupted out of nowhere and a figure burst through the shadow. She was tall, pale, and skinny with a slender figure. She had on a black cloak that covered most of her features. Her hood was secured tightly, and the only feature that could be seen through the dim moonlight was dark black curls and red lips. "What are you doing? How dare you abandon you sisters and brothers?"
"Get out of my way Lavender." Lilah said with gritted teeth. "I'm in no mood to deal with your childness."
"So stopping my own kin from abandoning everything is immature?" Lavender retorted sharply. Her voice softened as she took a step forward. "Please Lilah. Please be sensible. The Ninjas have made a mistake, I understand. But can't you put that behind you..."
"No." Lilah immediately cut her off, her eyes turning hard. "I refuse to be held back. Why is it that I have no powers? Our father was a mortal. A mortal. And yet, you stand there with your oh so amazing power, and have the entire village doting over you while I am tossed aside?"
"Lilah." Lavender said tearfully. "It's not like that---"
"Leave." Lilah shoved her aside, walking forward. "I'll start my own village. A village for people who don't have their so called powers. But they'll be special. They won't just be mortals. She sneered.
"Lilah---!"
But Lilah was gone. All that was left was a broken necklace, the symbol of the ninjas.
One hundred years from now, Lilah and Lavender are both dead. But their rivally still lives on. Both villages still hate each other..... and war is stirring.
