Michael (mwelser) | 217 comments Hi,

what is the policy on entering authors for anthologies which have no editor identified?

a) authors in order of ToC?
b) authors in alphabetical order?
c) authors in subjective order (of "importance")?

each making the first one of "principal" author of the book (unfair, but...)

Guidance, please. Thx.

Sandra | 31413 comments Usually, its cover order first. If they aren't listed on the cover and you have the book, I'd use the order listed on the inside, either the copyright section or the index.

Not sure what ToC is?

If all else fails, what order has the publisher put them in. I wouldn't bother with alphabetical unless there wasn't another option as that can be extremely time consuming.

ToC = Table of Contents

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments I usually try to go by table of contents as different editions or translations may alter the cover order, especially if author 2 is big in the US, say, and author 4 is bigger in Germany...
